I applied for both programs in both the fall and spring and got accepted into the LPN this spring. I'd say it's a lot easier to get accepted into Spring versus Fall, because none of my grades had changed and I didn't retake the TEAS.

Unfortunately, you have to have your pre-req's completed in the fall before you apply for the spring program. However, if you apply for the fall, and you're finishing your prereq's in the spring, they will wait to go through the apps until grades are posted. Hope this helps!

In Bloomington, the first four weeks of the semester, we had three half days of classes (9 - 12) and two full days of classes (9 - 12 and 1 - 5). As of right now, we have four half days (Mon and Tuesday 1 - 3:45, Wed. 8 - 10:45, Clinicals on Thursday from 7:00 - 3:00 and class Friday from 9 - 12). I hope that this helps.

Does anyone know where of if we can figure out what alternate # we are for the nursing program, by chance?

I went and spoke to the financial aid at Bloomington yesterday to see how much I will be able to get if I am in the nursing program in the spring and am unable to work. I am a single mom with three kids, so I have to know how I'm gonna pay the bills. I'm only going to be able to get $7000 for sping semester, so now I have to figure out what I'm going to do. UGH! Why does it have to be so dang difficult? I guess I'll apply for every scholarship known to man.

I only applied to Bloomington, so those are where my letters came from. I got two letters, because I applied for both the LPN and ASN programs. Let me know what happens. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you. BTW, where did you apply and for which program/s?

Does anyone know from experience the likelihood is of me actually getting into the program since I am an alternate for the LPN program at the Bloomington Ivy Tech campus right now. Not that I'm complaining. I'm ecstatic just to be an alternate! If anyone can give me any input, I'd appreciate it.

Has anyone tried the new distance ed bookstore for Ivy Tech, yet? If so, have you figured out how to pay for your books with your financial aid? The only payment options that I'm seeing available are Discover, Mastercard, Visa and American Express. I'm not liking the new bookstore at all. Not only can you not see a picture of the book, but they don't even give you the ISBN #. UGH!
