Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.
Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.
It's a computerized scoring rubric. I actually got a 7 the first time I ever took it, but I passed it this time. Basicly, it seems to adds up the two lowest subscores in the rubric for your over all score, so even if you were great on 3 of the five sections, you may still get a lower score if say you get a 3 and 4 in the last two. Here's a breakdown of the possible scores, it actually really helped me pass it.

You're right, Jaycam, some people might decide to take a different college's offer. :) and HopefulBE, based on the average scores of the cohorts who got in last year, I think you're still in the running to get in! Like Jaycam said, there's a good chance of getting bumped up and whatnot.
By the way, just wondering who else is aiming to do the RN-BSN bridge right out of an ADN program?
Thanks for the kind words. I really studied hard for the TEAS, knowing that Bellevue bases their decision off of it. I'm taking the e-write tomorrow so hopefully I pass it! The whole idea of a computer scoring an essay makes me a little nervous.
HopefulBE, I feel bad that you may have to suffer a commute as well, but it is nice to know that I wouldn't be the only one. :)
Kkay, I get what you mean about trying to study with kids! I have 4 and only one is in school so I have to do all my studying once they are in bed. Kids are a good motivator though; I credit mine with all my success up to this point!
What did all of you turn in as far as titer results? I just used the results that were sent to me in the mail after I had the titers drawn, but for my HepB, they never mailed anything so I had to log onto my online account and print the results through there. I hope that will suffice.
I plan on doing the RN-BSN bridge, hopefully through BC as well.
The eWrite isn't insanely hard, the best advice I can give is pick a side and stick to it. Here's a website that goes into a bit more detail on what you can do to get a better score. Remember, an 8 is really just supposed to show that you made it through English 101. COMPASS Writing Assessment Review Module
I just had my doctors office print out my lab results for my titers.

I feel like with an 88.7% I'm right on the cusp between possibly getting into Fall or Winter, if this year is anything like past years. I'm really hoping for fall, so that makes me a little nervous... but I will really just be overjoyed if I get into BC at all.
