Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.
Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.
Yeah, I am in the same boat jaycam! I am waiting to apply to some other schools because the deadline is after I hear back from BC. My fingers are crossed! And my TEAS score is 88.7%... I re-took it 6 months later (AKA a week or so ago) and I studied really hard this time around, because I wanted to get a high score to get into the Fall program... and guess what? I actually got 4% LOWER. Grrrr. So this 88.7 is the score I'm stuck with. I wonder if that has happened to anyone else?
Hey guys. I am also applying for BC's full time 2014-2015 program and it is my first choice. I got an 89.3% on my TEAS test, but I am wondering if anyone knows the average score they take? I went to the information meeting and I understand they take their applicants based on the TEAS score rather than grades, work experience, etc. However, I forgot what they said was the average TEAS score was. HELP!
I know the VA and Harborview are probable sites for the psych quarter. I also know that we're one of the few ADN programs that can get students into Seattle Children's, but not everyone will go there. I believe (but can't remember for sure) that the school uses Clinical Placements NW under their local consortium. At least CPNW says they include BC as one of their colleges. They cover anything from King County Public Health, to UW Med Center. Evergreen, Northwest Hospital, Virginia Mason, basicly most things in Pierce, King, and Snohomish.

From what I understand, it was not that common in the past. Usually only if they had to choose between candidates. With the new program director/Dean it may change. The website and application already changed this year.
