Bellevue College hopefuls 2014-2015

Published

Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.

Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.

Welcome to the forum thrifty!

Thanks, been lurking for quite a while now. Thought it was time to say hi!

Thanks for the e-write tips, jaycam...I was able to read them right before I left for the test! I passed it (thank goodness!) and turned in my application while I was on campus.

Good luck to everyone!! I don't know if we will be able to stand waiting for notification for MONTHS!

Hi y'all! I've been stalking the BC threads for awhile and trying to base my TEAS goal off of them so I figured I'd share mine and what I've heard. I got a 90 and most of the ladies I've spoken to on campus are applying with mid to low 80s and another couple with a 79. I'll be turning everything in tomorrow morning (nothing like last minute!). I'm also shooting for the BSN bridge program right afterwards :). I also have two kiddos so I feel for you mommies and its definitely a HUGE motivator! Good luck to all of us!!

Hi WhitJL! Thanks for posting your scores. Its nice to have a comparison. I'm also turning in my documents tomorrow! I was going to today, but the Seattle traffic from the Seahawks celebration scared me LOL (go hawks!). I turned in my online application last night. So crazy that it's getting so real!

I know asl, now comes the hardest part... Waiting! I figure that's when we'll all be asking "what was your TEAS score?" Lol. Good call on the traffic!

Did any of you guys put your documents in a folder or manila envelope? Or did you just bring them in loosely?

I'm doing a Manila envelope. When you drop them off you want them all together because I believe we put them in the drop box right there in the office, unless something has changed.

I just used a paper clip when I dropped off my big stack. Just make sure you put your student id number on your papers to help them get it to the right application.

I put mine in a manila envelope. I don't have a student ID, so I figured that would keep everything together. They do have a big drop box so you won't actually be handing it to anyone. I felt like I was turning in a bunch of random stuff, there being no paper application and such.

Oh, and I will probably do the RN to BSN through UW Tacoma if I can get into an ADN program!

Did anyone else get an email from Chie regarding missing documents? I won't be able to get my results from a blood test to them until monday... I had a bit of a heart attack but she called me back saying no worries & my application will still be considered! Thank goodness!

Yes. She's awesome like that and will try to remind applicants
