Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.
Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.
Justdance14, I'll be doing my CNA this spring at BC. I'm taking Intercultural Communications online right now at BC and it is soooo easy! You can take it during the summer and it will barely suck up any of your time. Best of luck for Seattle U; it is definitely pricey, but from what I've heard, walking out of there with your RN is like a golden ticket! Very, very good program there.
Ah, thanks for the tip, WhitJL! I may do that. I decided to do a quick 4 week program for my CNA so I can get it done as soon as possible. I really want to spend a lot of time with my kids in case I do start nursing school in the fall being as how I've been working on my prerequisites since June of '12 without a quarter off! I'm definitely going to be grateful for a bit of time without educational commitments. I've heard good things about Seattle U too and would certainly be thrilled to get in there (or Bellevue for that matter)!
We're in the same boat! This Summer will be my first quarter off with my kiddos as well. Seems totally foreign to have a whole quarter off with no due dates. That's why I won't be disappointed getting in for winter cohort; that much extra time to hang with the kids before we're totally strung out again
Oh, you are definitely not the only one! I feel like I shouldn't get too hopeful, yet I have no choice but to start planning my life for fall and beyond (registering kids for preschool classes, sports, planning trips, etc.) with the hope that I will be starting nursing school. The closer it gets, the more my plans are catered to what I am only hoping will happen. That is why the uncertainty is so difficult for me! I like to have everything planned out and that's not possible in this case.

Hi, everyone! Applied this cycle. On one hand, it's a relief because it's all out of our hands now. On the other hand, we're left playing the waiting game, eek >
To those who are worried about missing documents, Chie will contact you. They hadn't received my transcripts, and she called me before realizing it was in a pile of unopened transcripts on her desk. :-) So your applications are probably fine if you haven't heard from anyone, but they'll let you know if they need something.
Just wanted to introduce myself and wish everyone good luck!
