Hey everyone, I didn't see a thread for this yet so I thought I would start one.
Is anyone else applying to BC for Fall 2014/Winter 2015 cohorts? I'm getting nervous with the deadline less than two months away. I did all my pre reqs there and it's my first choice school which probably adds to the nerves a bit. Are any of you finished with the application process yet? I think it's nice that this year, the background check is after the initial application just for the sake of saving money if I didn't score high enough on my TEAS to get in.
Justdance14 and hopefulBE: Congratulations!!! That is so exciting!
Gottmilk: I also am taking 2 classes. Preparing for the worst I guess....I'm taking Interpersonal Communication and Anthropology which are prerequisites for Everett. Everett is my back-up plan if I don't get into Bellevue.
Hi, everyone. I just found this thread, for which I am grateful! I applied to Bellevue and Shoreline for Fall 2014. It helps to think of May as the earliest to expect a notice, but still... I can't help but wonder, has anyone received a notice from Bellevue? Does everyone have until the same date to accept or does acceptance date depend on when your notice is mailed? Does anyone accept an offer and then decline when she/he gets a later offer from a better school? I know nothing about this process and appreciate any insights.
I did. She said I was missing my ACT scores. I thought they'd be submitted to nursing automatically, like the TEAS, since I took them at the Bellevue College Test Center. Wrong! I was very relieved she let me submit them after the deadline as the webpage made the deadline sound absolute. Was the blood test a titer for one of the immunizations? I can't remember needing to submit any other kind of a blood test.
SeattleJess -Everyone has the same deadline - they should receive acceptance/rejected letters roughly around same time within few days. They usually give you 2+ weeks to respond. There are always circumstances where people initially accept and reject for various reasons, maybe financial, emergency, better school, etc. - that's why there are waiting lists just in case people reject initially or later. Best wishes to you =)
KKay, goo strategy not to expect anything until May. I'm holding that thought but I still can't keep myself from looking hopefully through the mail every day it comes. I agree, I hope people post when they get their notices. Thank YOU for responding to my question. Now I know this thread is alive. I can hover over IT every day now, in addition to the mailbox! (Joking!)
HopefulBE, thanks for the info on how notices are sent. I guess it's just the waitlist folks who get their notices spread out over time as people who got offers turn them down. I'm glad that a better school is a reason to change your mind after accepting. (Truly though, getting into just one nursing school will be enough.)
Happy outcomes to you both!

Got bored with being out of school so I signed up for some classes this spring while we wait.
