Hello Everyone,

I am knew to this site and I wanted to share my good news. I have been accepted to Emory University in Atlanta, Ga for Fall 2009. I got the letter in the mail today. I am so ecstatic. I am 29 years old, I'm a wife and a mother of 5 children. If I can do it, anyone with drive and determination can do it.

Congratulations to everyone on here that has gotten accepted (to their prog. of choice) and good wishes to those still waiting for the good news!

I've been lurking on all nurses for a while, but was afraid to post until I "officially" got into nursing school. On Wednesday I not only found out that I was excepted to the Fall 2009 evening/weekend program (I have my Bachelor's in Communications, but wanted to fulfill my wish to change careers and become a nurse -- to follow in my mom's footsteps and make some new one's of my own) at Delaware County Community College (PA), but an hour after I found out about my acceptance letter I learned I'd safely passed anatomy too! Needless to say it was an all around great day! I was told I would not hear anything until late January -- so it was a pleasant surprise.

Eek I'm excited, but nervous too... Thanks for creating this thread for good news sharing!

I just got accepted on WEdnesday to the Accelerated Nursing BSN program at Stony Brook University after my second time trying!! WAHOOOO

Hi! It sounds like everyone is just as excited as I am! I got my letter last week from Deleware County Community College in PA. It was so nerve wracking waiting to see if you are excepted or not. What a relief. I wish everyone luck in doing their best in Nursing school. It will be a challenge but so worth it.

:yeah: I got my acceptance letter today!! I will be going the ADN program at Amarillo College, which is a community college, but is supposed to be harder to get into. All the nurses around here say they would rather work with the graduates of my school than the ones from the local 4-year university, so it's a good program. I also found out yesterday that I made the dean's list this last semester. I am elated!:yelclap::roll:clpty:

Congrats, I just got accepted for Jan 09.. Initially I was super excited until I realized that I can't take out a private student loan due to me not having anyone to co sign. Also, I cant work due to my boss hating the fact that I am actually doing something with my life. Im torn, It is so difficult to actually get accepted into the school now that I am I cant seem to find a way to go. I'm praying that a miracle actually takes place. I need all the support I can get!!!! Please keep me in your prayers!!!!

Congrats on everyones acceptances :) .. i was accepted for Fall 2009 at University of Pittsburgh main campus, West Chester University Univ. of PA, Alvernia University, Drexel University (4 year), York College of PA, Roberts Wesleyan, and East Stroudsburg Univ. of PA. im stoked for nursing school even though my parents want me to go to West Chester and I wana go to PITT .. grrr
