  1. Hi Everyone! I will be starting the program in January as well. I look forward to meeting you all
  2. PVT worked for me!! I took my NCLEX-RN yesterday at 2:00 and came home and got the good pop-up. Today my name is posted on the BON website!!
  3. Hey Everyone! I took my NCLEX-RN today at 1:30. I finished at about 4:00 with 90 questions. I came home and tried the PVT and got the GOOD pop-up:yeah: I am so elated...I have been thanking God for all of the favor he has been showing me! Congrats to everyone else who has passed:D
  4. Hey Everybody, I'm going to be taking my test for the 2nd time on the 22nd. I've been using the Kaplan Q-Trainers and my scores have been between 59 and 63 on all seven of the trainers. I hope those scores are okay. I didn't use Kaplan and the decision tree the 1st time around. I've also been using LaCharity, Saunders and Exam Cram. My test is in 3 days, but surprisingly, I'm not really nervous...I don't know if that's a good sign or not! I have been fasting and praying and I just know that God has my back. Anyway...to everyone that is testing and retesting in August, place your trust and your faith in the Most High and He will never fail you. Be Blessed!
  5. BoiseRN, What do you mean by "broad nursing" content?
  6. Hey All, Sad to say, but the PVT really does work. I tested on the 29th as well. I did the PVT on the yestersday and was able to get to the CC page to pay. I finished with 109 questions. I didn't think I did horribly, but I was sure I didn't do great, I thought I did enough to pass. One of my friends got 109 questions too, but she passed. I thought that I prepared well. I did an ATI review course and answered 3000 questions. At this point I'm not really sure what to do in preparation for the second time. I live in GA so I'm able to re-register in 45 days. If anyone has any suggestions, please share!
  7. Hi, Allie Thanks so much for the reply. It does make sense to bypass undergrad chemistry classes. If I start working in September, when would you suggest me taking grad level classes?
  8. AllieRN, I'm in a similar position. I have a 3.3 undergrad GPA. I just finished my nursing program and I'll be taking my boards at the end of the month. I have accepted a position in the Surgical ICU and I'll be starting in September. My goal is to attend anesthesia school, but I'm so concerned about my GPA. I planned on taking graduate level classes, but would it make sense to take an undergraduate organic chemistry as well? I'll also be taking the revised GRE because it's changing in August. Any advice would totally be appreciated. Thanks
  9. I'm a current Emory senior with only 58 days to graduation. The program is good...tough, but good, nonetheless. For the students thinking about getting an associates in nursing: more and more hospitals are trying to reach magnet status, thus they are really slowing down on hiring ADN's. This year Emory Hospital will not be hiring any new grads with ADN's. BSN is the way to go. It takes the same amount of time to obtain as the ADN. I understand money may be a factor, but Emory is not the only school in GA that offers the BSN. Good luck to you all. I know exactly how it feels to be in this phase of the application process.
  10. I'm a senior too!!!
  11. I only took 1 test as well. I figured both tests would just be testing the same material, so I only felt 1 was sufficient.
  12. Thanks LaBrittany that makes me feel a little bit better. I'm gonna call tomorrow just to let them know and like you said, hopefully someone catches the mistake.
  13. Hey Everyone! How about I just finished the background check and I typed the wrong letter in my first name. Ughhh!!! I didn't realize it until I viewed the summary. What do you all think? I will be so glad when this process is over. I'm still working on my dosage calculations and I still haven't ordered my uniform or any books.
  14. LOL!!!! I know what you mean about getting the kids ready first. I have 5 that I'm trying to finish up school shopping for. My 2 pre-k babies can't wait to get started. We're gonna have to pay for my 3 year old, but he's going to school. I will be glad when they start school on the 3rd so that I can get a break!!
  15. Hey IGKUO!!!! How is everything? I haven't pm'd you lately because I knew you were trying to finish up your last semester. How did it go? I know your glad it's over. The dosage calculations seem to be ok, but it's math we haven't seen in a while. Did you get your CPR out the way yet? Are you as nervous as I am about this whole journey? I think I'll begin buying books and uniforms next week.
