Be sure to check out the free book basket next to library. Was completely able to snag a Fundamentals of Nursing 7th edition and Community-Based Nursing, an introduction today! Couldn't believe my luck!

They're the discontinued books from the library, so I can almost promise we'll be getting new fundamental nursing books for next semester, but it doesn't hurt to have them for this summer

I received the packet in the mail today. Some of you were wondering about scrubs. The letter said grey scrubs with black shoes, just fyi.

I can definitely handle grey scrubs and black shoes! So much better than the white scrubs I had to get for my CNA clinicals! Just out of curiosity Mojames, where abouts are you located? I only live like 10 minutes from the Cooper campus, and I haven't received my packet yet. ?

I live in Palomar. It came in the mail today around 2:30pm

My packet didn't come today. I have grey scrubs from my CNA class, so one less thing I have to buy. Still...they're not attractive. Hopefully it'll be here by tomorrow!

I got my packet yesterday. It made me feel really proud. I'm going to Lawrenceburg but mine also said gray with black shoes. What was interesting is that by the shoes it says black socks/hose also required. WHAT?! We have to wear pantyhose too? Or does that mean if we wear hose they have to be black? I sure don't want to be tugging at a control top during clinicals....haha! Stethoscope is a required accessory and that is going to be a pretty big cost because I think they are like $200. I can't believe we're so excited about all the working our butts off we've got ahead but I'm definitely excited nonetheless!

Stethoscopes are only like 100.00 for a good one. Just checked the mail today and still no packet. Next to accepted it says "yes" so I'm good right?! I won't be okay until my packet comes in the mail.

You're good! However, make sure they have the right mailing address and I would call someone if you haven't received it by this afternoon because the paperwork they send you requires you send it back by April 22nd to avoid having your spot given up. That's good on the stethoscopes....or way better than i thought. If your status says, "Accepted? Yes" then you are fine but I live in Georgetown and already got mine. My last name starts with an S too so in case they had sent them out alphabetically. I bet you'll get it today. :up:

when are we suppose to have the background check done by? I thought i read it in there, but now i cant find it! Which form is due by the 18th? Im gonna take the three (letter of intent, crime page, and tech. standars) tomorrow to campus. But i know the background check is like $60, so thats gotta wait until pay day. I also gotta get all these vaccines going too!
