BCTC Fall 2013 Applicants

Hi all! Just wanted to see if there are any other BCTC applicants out there. I'm getting super anxious about hearing whether I got in or not, and didn't know if anyone else wanted to discuss our waiting time! Best of luck to everyone. ?

Im also sad because it says no visable piercings, so my nose piercing has to come out, and iv had it for 8 years :( Im sure they aren't going to let me keep a retainer in it either. Super sad, oh well.... i guess its time ti grow up...

when are we suppose to have the background check done by? I thought i read it in there, but now i cant find it! Which form is due by the 18th? Im gonna take the three (letter of intent, crime page, and tech. standars) tomorrow to campus. But i know the background check is like $60, so thats gotta wait until pay day. I also gotta get all these vaccines going too!

I *think* it's just before starting classes/clinicals.

Yeah that's sort of crappy because some of our nurses have nose piercings and aren't required to take them out and i know several that reveal their tattoos

I have just found out about this website. I am so excited, I was accepted into the Nursing program on cooper campus. I still have not received my letter, is there anyone else who hasn't got theirs yet? I will just feel so much better when I have written proof lol!! Congrats to everyone who got in!!

a guy I used to work with went to the nursing conference with me and was supposed to be applying at Lawrenceburg but I haven't been able to get a hold of him, Ive tried messaging him on facebook for the past few days but no answer!!

I stopped by the office of admissions to ask about the packet. The person there told me that if it doesn't come by Friday to come in and let them know. Just a heads up for anyone who hasn't gotten there packet yet.

Does anyone know how many sets of scrubs we are suppose to have? Also, i turned in my paperwork today for the adn program, and let the lpn program know that i wouldnt be taking my spot in their program, so im sure that someone on the alternate list will be getting a very happy phone call :D

I just registered for NSG101, and there is only one clinical day a week, so you really only need one pair of scrubs, but I'm planning on buying 2, just in case I get something spilt on me while we're on site.

Also, when I registered, I had to go to the student records office to get them to override something , and they registered me there. Apparently there's a glitch in the system somewhere, and all of the nursing program classes are having to be registered for this way.

OMGosh, thank you!!! i have been trying all morning online to enroll in the nsg 101 and cant seem to get it to work! i"ll be calling school!!!!!
