BCIT Spring 2022

Nursing Students School Programs

Published

Hi there,

I was wondering if anyone is applying to the BCIT Spring 2022 intake? What GPA are you applying with and are you applying with previous healthcare experience? How did the Casper test and Snapshot go for you?

Yeahh I was so confused too! They said they got an email for a seat. This was posted 32 days ago which makes no sense. Maybe they were given some kind of priority or something? Or maybe it was for January Intake. Not sure but I also sent an email out to admissions. Hopefully they reply soon with some answers.

It must have been for January 2022 because that just started. What medical work or volunteer experience are you applying with? How many credits do you have? What's your GPA? If you don't mind me asking ?

People who were in the top 10 for the waitlist in January 2022 but didn't get a spot, get a spot in the April 2022 intake. Just like for the April 2022 intake if you are very high up in the waitlist but don't get a spot they'll give you a spot in the next intake which is Sept 2022. This is my understanding from reading the forums for previous intakes. So a couple of the spots for April 2022 intake are already given to people that applied in the previous intake. Nobody who has applied for the April 2022 intake should have heard anything yet I think its still a bit early. Hope that clears up some confusion.

I just got an email back from Admissions. The final decision from the Nursing department will be given by February 15th for the April 2022 intake…

Now I’m even more nervous! More waiting.

February 15 is the date everybody should hear back by, they usually roll out decisions earlier. So from the end of January to Feb 15 people will hear about their status.

Hello,

Has anyone heard back from admissions?

Oops just saw this! I’m currently an LPN working at a LTC. I also work for a chiropractic office as well. I have volunteered with St. Paul’s hospital and various provincial government events. My GPA is about 3.2 so not the highest out there but still something I hope will help me get in ?. What about you if you don’t mind me asking as well?

I’m currently working at a LTC as a student care aide. I also have volunteered at my local hospital for 3 years in the NICU and Maternity. My GPA is around 3.7 but I don’t know if I’m feeling very confident seeing as I don’t have a very competitive previous medical background compared to some, like you as an LPN! Just patiently waiting… ?

I think that still makes a great application! I hope we both get to see each other in the Spring/Summer intake. Goodluck! ❤️
