BCIT Nursing Sept 2021 Intake

Published

Hello!

Just wanted to start a new topic for the next intake for those applying in Feb 1 2021- March 15 2021 for the Sept 2021 intake at BCIT!

Some people also may not  be commenting that they got rejected

Hey all,

I've been reading all the forums for BCIT. It seems like all of them get notification through the weeks - not all at once!

there’s still hope for us all!

It seems as though the ones who were accepted yesterday had exceptional GPAs, degrees, or work-related experience. Perhaps that is how they decide their "first round" of acceptees. And then work their way down the list according to their specific requirements. Who knows, this is all speculation.

OMG! The wait game got me so nervous!

Good luck everyone!

This could also be true! I have a degree with a 3.8 CGPA & 4.0 for all prereqs + a decent amount of healthcare experience. Perhaps it’s based on Casper? (I don’t think I did too well on that).

Same here, my GPA is really high and I did well on all pre-reqs.

it could be based off of Casper - I think someone mentioned they’d be considering applicants based on Casper test, prior education and health care experience.

I thought they based their candidate list on the casper test first, then GPA, then work/volunteer experiences. I'm not sure how that works tbh.

I heard that Casper results are just for reference and they are not as important as the other criterias. (Not too sure tho)

I can't wait longer LOL. I think I'll get a heart attack at the end haha

It’s all so confusing! I really thought applicants with degrees were considered first. I’ve heard in previous years that 53% of those admitted have degrees, but it could have all changed...maybe Casper test  is the end all be all now Haha.

I guess it doesn’t matter now we just have to wait! Good luck everyone ?

When I emailed the department to ask abt non cog they said that their not doing it and instead ranking applicants with

1. casper

2. # of credits/GPA

3. Health care related work experience

in that order
