Will you pick nursing over respiratory therapy?

Does anybody know if we can use our casper results to apply for the January semester? I took my test in February to apply for this September but I'm planning on applying for the January semester if I don't get in for the fall. Would I have to retake my casper test?

I remember reading somewhere that you do not have to but you should contact bcit and ask them directly if they recommend you retake it or not. That will give you a clue on how well you did on it.

Tbh I already accepted their offer. I was on the waitlist for both the general (3 year) stream as well as the fast track stream (2 years, skip 1st year) and I heard of my acceptance to the fast track stream last week Monday. We already had a virtual meet with other people who got accepted into the fast track stream because we have to do 4 courses before starting in September so it was kinda like an orientation of sorts.

This is why I'm just curious to see if I get shortlisted; if my grades, CASPer, and experiences were decent enough. The wait feels so cruel, but the upside is that there's not really much to do to prepare for the fall intake in comparison to what I need to do.

Hello everyone, hope you're all doing well! I emailed bcit about 2 weeks ago to ask when applicants can expect to know that they have been shortlisted. I did not get an answer to that but, we will find out if we have been accepted by June 15.

Hi!

Thanks for emailing BCIT, axsangha! The waiting has been brutal! How has everyone else been holding up?

Congrats on getting into the respiratory therapy program!

Hopefully we find out sometime next week or the week after if we're shortlisted! I'm currently on the waitlist for UBC's nursing program and although I'm hoping to get off the waitlist I'm still nervous about the possibility of not so if I get into BCIT I would be very happy.

You are most likely going to get in since you are so high up on the waiting list! If you get accepted into both, which one do you think you are going to attend?

I really hope so!! I'm just nervous because of all the applicants for UBC's program this year so it makes me think those who were accepted would likely accept their offer (but this is pure speculation ofc). I would definitely pick UBC's program because of the shorter duration of the program and I'm already a UBC student and truly love the campus. How about you? I noticed you were accepted into UBC so congrats!!

I am sure you will make it in. Thank you so much! I am definitely going to UBC ?

Does everyone who progresses with their application take the non-cognitive quiz or do some people get accepted to the program right away and the remainder of applicants take the non-cognitive quiz? Thanks!

Just wondering if anyone here submitted any documents / grades after the application deadline and if they even allowed it?

Asking this now because I was supposed to apply for this intake but I got held back due to personal reasons so I have to apply for the January intake now ?
