BCIT January 2017

Published

Just wanted to start a group for students applying for the BCIT January program!

Thanks Aaaibra,

It must have been because I was on an ipad... It wouldn't let me see more than the first page but I can see it now on my desktop computer :)

Hi Terrelle,

Yeah, you can definitely find those links on the main page of the Bsn program description /details, sorry for late response)))

And I think it's a good practice to check into your laptop from time to time, as it happens to my my ipad too, when it doesn't show some info

I wonder if anyone gets in right away. Or if everyone is shortlisted?!

It looks like last year the only people who got in right away were people who had applied before and had already completed the non-cognitive exam.

well, it`s obligatory step in their admission policy - to complete non-cognitive questionnaire, but yes, I`ve heard that a few exceptions may be given to those who postponed their offers for a sound reason. However, they generally state that they don`t give deferrals, hmm.....

I didn't realize that they don't give deferrals,

It looked like last year all sorts of people deferred.

Hmmmm.. I'm a bit confused as to what a deferral is??

I think it's after they accept you, you ask if you can start in a later semester if you have a good reason. Or at least that's what I though you could do. Basically your in the program but your starting at a later date than what you applied for.

I actually just emailed in and they said you can defer for medical reasons. It looks like last year people deferred for funding reasons

Agree, Terrelle,it could be. But there is caveat, like not to overstate a medical reason to avoid a possibility of rejection, as a good health condition is required for the program.

Hey guys!

I was just wondering if any of you have heard of someone getting accepted into the BCIT nursing program with a midterm mark? I was hoping to apply to BCIT August 2017 intake, but unfortunately my last prerequisite, English, won't be ready for the deadline :( I keep hearing from other people that BCIT nursing program is really nice about making exceptions if you talk to the program head....

Anyone complete their questions yet?
