BCIT January 2017

Published

Just wanted to start a group for students applying for the BCIT January program!

I completed on September 30th. Questions were related to your personal experience in emotionally challenging situations or interpersonal communication or time management. I just tried to provide detailed examples from my life experience, like what did I do or how did I react

Phew* Just finished the non-cognitive! I feel like I stressed out way to much before hand... It wasn't so bad. I only used on example for each question but I really elaborated on it. Did you guys just give one example or did you give more than one?

Wow congratz guys! Just curious, was there a word count/word limit on your cognitive interview? Thank you!

Not that I saw. I wrote pretty long responses for each question and didn't have any issues.

Well, I remember that there was a note our response should not exceed 240-250 words limit for every answer

#*it... Where did you see that on the exam?

Found it on the first page before entering the exam... :S well... I guess I'm not getting in to the program...

On the page with the description of the questionary, when you login and see the button "START QUIZ"

Yup,

I just found it :S Basically I'm screwed. I assumed all important information would be present inside the exam. I've taken many online exams and have never seen them provide such vital information outside of the actual exam.

Terrelle, don't worry, all have been done is actually done, there's no super important reason to penalize you if a few words exceed.

Thanks Darista, I really hope that's true. I honestly don't know how I could have answered the questions with less words. The situations I used were quite complex so I had to provide background information so that it would make sense.

Moreover, if that calms down)))) it's very likely that I'll ask for deferral and in case I'm accepted -my spot may be given to somebody else))))))
