BCIT January/April 2019 Intake Discussion
The non-cognitive questionnaire after you get shortlisted is based on the CRNBC standards. Try to apply the standards in your volunteer/work experiences. :)

For the people who got their application status changed to Initial admission requirement complete, may I ask what your GPA was for the pre-req courses? Thank you so much!

Douglas College Fall 2017 Nursing applicants
My friend completed her pre-reqs in Fall 2015. Just wondering, what is a competitive GPA since they look at time your courses were completed and GPA? Is it high or just a C+/minimum requirement? Thank you!

BCIT January 2017
If you have questions specific to the program, I encourage you to email the department as many people who use this forum are students not yet in the institution/without much info they can offer you. I've mustered up the courage to email them about the ranking system just to be able to pass that knowledge off to my students (i'm a post secondary mentor) :)

BCIT January 2017
I've created a Facebook group! " BCIT Nursing Jan 2017 Intake " cover photo is a stethoscope/heart rhythm/heart And aaaibra; Eng: B Anatomy 1 & 2: A-, A Psych: A- Elective Epidemiology: A Elective Intro to Kin: A Chem 11 73% (barely made that!) Pre-Calc 12 74% Don't give up hope! Perhaps do a short certificate and try again? That way you'll have more credits, another career option and you wouldn't be wasting money taking general electives that won't be applicable to you!

Did everyone attach volunteer letters/references in their application? I only spoke of these in my cognitive questionnaire. The application didn't ask for it so I didn't attach them. After reading all your messages, I wish I did. Has anyone asked if it's okay to attach more to your application? I spoke about volunteer/awards, but I didn't back them up with a PDF file and now I'm really kicking myself in the butt for it.

Hey mintbows8! Just wondering since im a student from sfu too, how did you submit your transcript to BCIT? Theres no electronic copy that can be sent and BCIT wants a PDF.. did you end up opening your official transcript and scanning it in? (doesn't that make it unofficial) just wondering, if not ill call bcit.. thank you!
