Just wanted to start a group for students applying for the BCIT January program!

Got the email this morning! Can't wait to meet you all! Congratulations to those who got in and good luck to those waiting for a response, I'm rooting for you!

Omg I got my acceptance too!!!! I am so happy right now :,) I can't believe it's actually happening! And congrats to everyone who got in too!

Congratulations to all of you that got accepted that is so incredibly exciting! :) I still have not heard back nor has my status changed... is anyone in the same boat as me still? Like I'm wondering if they sent out all the acceptance letters and are now going to send rejection letters...

I know that people here might not have started the program yet, but does anyone know how the stress level is like during first

level of the program?

I was online and checked the course outlines and i noticed that we are doing 8 courses in 4 months......

Aaaibra - I am also pending department review still.

Baiyujen - All I know about the nursing program at BCIT is hearsay. I was in the Biotechnology program at BCIT(joint UBC), we had 8 courses in our first semester as well - about 5 of them including labs, and it was a pretty stressful semester, basically 8A-5P everyday lol(with a set hour lunch break in between).

I've heard from my former program-head, because she'd taught some of the nursing courses, that she thought it was easier than the Biotech program. Although we also have like practicuum placements year round it seems like, so I'm not sure.

(I don't know if that helps at all haha)

Hi jwillis1, I am on the same boat with you.

I wrote an email to the department yesterday, and was told that the questionair weighs 1/3 on the final decision, I think I did very bad on the questionair as my GPA is decent.

Hey Vanvic, did they happen to mention whether or not 'pending department view' at this point means we didn't make the cut? I wonder if all the people accepted have been notified yet or if they are still working on that?

Hi, I was told by the end of this week, we will know our status.

so we will know today or tomorrow.... I'm sure i didn't get in i just want to know right now so the little hope that i do have will just go away.

I haven't gotten an status update yet either!! UGHH I wish they would send them out all at the same time. like rejection and acceptance.
