Hello future nurses,
I am so excited to be starting nursing at BCIT in August!
For future applicants: To have a strong application make sure you have work experience, volunteer experience (preferably healthcare), as well as liberal arts courses - my Psych 241 at SFU transferred over as a libs course and I will find out if any other courses of mine transfer over once I send them an updated transcript.
I am going to be going in with a completed BSc in Kinesiology and Psychology, but a full degree is not necessary, just at least 60 credits to be competitive!
Anyone else defer to August?
Looking back on it, last years short-listed individuals were notified Apr 4th. Non-competition letters were Apr. 5th.
Jan intake of this year shows that Oct 17th individuals received short-list letters, with non-competition letter coming out as early as the 15th.
Long story short, if the trend follows, we'll find out by the end of the day today or tomorrow (as the emails seem to be sent later in the evening before office hours end). Good luck everyone.
OMG SHORT LISTED!!
Just checked on my break at work and I jumped out of my seat and literally jumped my way to tell my boss. Haha! I was so excited!
I did not think I would even get shortlisted!
Now that the first hurdle is gone for us, good luck to all for the final round~!!!
Hope everyone gets good news soon!!
