  1. Whereabouts in the US does one go to get scrubs cheap?
  2. How's everyone doing on finding CPR-HCP? Think it would be worth it if I ran one or two in Coquitlam/Burnaby before the program starts? Also a reminder to join the August 2013 Nursing Facebook group (I can't link it or I break the ToS).
  3. Acceptance offered! Good luck everyone!
  4. Shortlisted. Also, very excited about this questionnaire. I love the idea that they aren't just scanning our resume, and instead adding personal experiences and thoughts into the equation. Additionally, anyone know the final seats being awarded? I know 176 have been shortlisted, but not the final count. I could assume it's the same as usual (98), but would love to know for sure.
  5. Looking back on it, last years short-listed individuals were notified Apr 4th. Non-competition letters were Apr. 5th. Jan intake of this year shows that Oct 17th individuals received short-list letters, with non-competition letter coming out as early as the 15th. Long story short, if the trend follows, we'll find out by the end of the day today or tomorrow (as the emails seem to be sent later in the evening before office hours end). Good luck everyone.
  6. I think I need to disable my refresh button for the sake of my sanity.
  7. Hi all, I'm just trying to figure this out. Has anybody received a non-offer? Or is everyone considered hold-list until a week or so down the road? Also, when you received your hold-list email, does it state for everyone that the registration fee is waived if you apply for August 2013? Thanks for the help, congrats to those that are in, and best of luck to the hold-listed.
  8. I'm thinking that those that haven't heard yet will hear at the end of the day, probably 6-ish. Kind of curious though, don't suppose anyone knows of a short-listed candidate that has received a non-offer yet? Because as of right now I see this one of two ways:1) All the candidates without any arguments have been contacted and given offers. Those they are "iffy" about are being decided right now to be contacted later.2) The option I don't really want to believe; that all the non-offers are being sent out later. For some reason I don't think it would be 2, just because one would assume the admissions people would send these out first.
  9. I should mention I'm a first aid instructor. I was thinking about asking my employer if they would let me run a CPR-HCP exclusively for the people in the program (maybe for a little cheaper or whatnot). This would probably be conditional on getting a seat mind you, as otherwise uni can be pretty time-consuming for me. I'll get back to everyone if people are interested.
  10. Oh my, I've been short-listed. Now I'm curious, does anyone have any idea as to what will get them one of the 96 seats? From the way I've read it, it would seem that up to now has been purely credits and elective courses completion based. Is now when life experience/GPA/work experience are taken into consideration? Congratulations to those short-listed, and I really am sorry to those not. -Ty
  11. Hi all, I've been reading this forum quite a bit and decided to finally post. This is killing me. This is my second time applying to BCIT's program with a non-offer last time around. I'm hoping that my 90-ish credits will be enough to get me through as opposed to last applications 52 credits. I've been told they send out results in bunches, so do you think they were addressing your specific group BulmaBriefs? Thanks and good luck to everyone.
