Updated:   Published

Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on 9/1/20 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck

Today at the B/CS GN expo someone asked how many applicants there are at the moment and the recruiter shared that their is currently around 2,000 for all regions.

How do you access the expo? I clicked their links on FB, but it doesn't state how to access or give a zoom link, etc.

You have to pre-register for them and then they send you an itinerary the day before with the links to the meetings.

Thank you!! ?

I completed my digital interview ? It's so nerve wrecking to record myself talking LOL. Now the waiting game. My first choice is BUMC then plano and grapevine.

Has anyone heard back already and how long did that take?

They made it sound like we won't get phone screens until close to October when the application period ends. No idea on if that's just North Texas or what because some people in southern markets seem to have gotten phone screened already?

I wish it wasn't so far off but I know the time will pass before we know it!

It took me 10 days to hear back about the phone screen after the video interview! I applied to Dallas and Round Rock areas ? I believe the screen is primarily for Round Rock. I personally haven't heard of phone screens being done for Dallas yet. I am happy to ask and report back after my call if that would be helpful?  If it has been longer than 2 weeks, it wouldn't be a bad idea to message them on FB so that they can put a face to a resume and that may help push things along. Best of luck!

I also just got the email to do the phone interview! It took 10 days for me as well. I think you're right about Round Rock doing it earlier. They're my number 1 choice!

I think at this point I'm out of the running. Good luck to you all and congrats to those who got in!

Hey y'all! I was wondering how long everyone waited to do their video interview? I received the email yesterday but I also have a test tomorrow that I need to study for.. Is it bad to wait until after my test tomorrow to do it or should I get it done today?

Hi, im going to do my video interview today, I applied yesterday, and I feel like I applied so late there are not going to be many positions left?Anyways good luck to everyone!

I’m a little worried about that as well but the application doesn’t close until the 7th I think! So I’m sure they’re still getting quite a few applications!

If you guys just applied and got video interviews, I would take it as a good sign. I have several friends who applied in the first 48 hours that haven’t gotten a video invitation or anything. They did say at the north Texas expo they next steps after video interviews might not happen until the application period closed. So if you’ve done a video and not heard anything, don’t lose hope. Even if you haven’t and you didn’t get an email telling you you’re no longer being considered, try not to lose hope. There’s still several days until the application closes.

I think you are okay with waiting until after your test. I wanted to get mine done ASAP and that’s been almost three weeks ago and it hasn’t affected anything with getting a phone screen or not.

I am interested to hear if any of you had your phone interviews what they said from there or if they have set the unit interviews up with you yet. I am anxious to get to that step but they do have 2000+ applications to get through, it could be awhile.
