Hi everyone! I know the application for the nurse residency program for BSWH opened up on 9/1/20 and figured that I would start a thread to update each other on it. Good luck

After that, we went to the first small group breakout session and met with representatives of that service. They did a presentation and there was time for Q&A, then we switched to our second breakout session. They did a presentation and Q&A, then we went back to the main group to have a final speaker and some more Q&A with the recruiters.
I was glad to have it, even being online because it answered a lot of the questions he about the program and what’s going to be available for positions.
Did they mention how many positions for OR? Or did you attend that session?

Hi @AMT0135 I did attend the OR presentation, they have 10 spots and that cohort will all be at BUMC. I didn’t preference BUMC and they said that because my first option was OR, I’d still be considered for BUMC so if anyone else is in that position, don’t worry.

Oh great! Thank you for your response! 10.. jeez compared to everyone applying it's so competitive. I did choose BUMC but not as my first option. I just received the video interview, which I will complete tomorrow once I get outta my own head. I'm so nervous! Good luck to you!
It’s definitely not as competitive as some of the other services so that does make me hopeful. You’ll do great on the video!! Talk about your why for the OR and any experience you have with it. I was super super nervous for mine and I wish I had it to do over. But hopefully we will end up in the cohort together!

Yeah I’ve been checking daily, all my folders. It may be related to the fact that I stated a preference for Women’s services on my resume and a commenter just said they have very limited spots for that right now. Also could be the hospital choices I listed. Could be a lot of factors. It may not be in the cards for me at this time. But I have applied to a couple other programs so I’m hopeful!
