Baylor GN Internships June 2015

Published

Hello!

I thought I would make a thread for the Baylor GN internships of June 2015. Has anybody heard anything about interviews yet?

Mine was a contract, it listed benefits and certain details etc. It was all very official.

Yeah I got that email too when I accepted. I am coming from out of town so I did ask a few questions before accepting the offer. They said navy blue scrubs but the style didn't matter ;)

Has anyone had to turn in paperwork yet? My recruiter hasn't responded at all after I accepted the offer

Specializes in ninja nursing.
I was offered the OR internship!!!! Super excited!! Any advice guys? How do I prepare!? Aside from passing my boards of course...

which location?

I accepted my offer today for Baylor University Medical Center (Big Baylor) on the telemetry floor!

Has anyone heard any details after completing hiring process? Thanks!

I had two phone interviews and an in-person interview last week. How long after your interviews did you hear back from your recruiters?

Does anyone know if Baylor ever considers hiring new grad ADNs for the graduate nurse internship spots? I've worked in hospitals as a psychometrist for ten years and last year returned to school to change careers to nursing. So I have lots of hospital experience, but I'll only have an ADN when I graduate. I think Baylor would be an awesome place to start my nursing career, but I'm wondering if they'll even consider me without a BSN?

^it doesnt hurt to apply, but technically, the program is for BSNs.

I do know BHCS employees that got around some of the typical rules (typical rules being BSN, graduating before the internship starts), if they worked for them and their hospital wanted to hire them once they graduated. Thats when I have seen the exception.

Thanks for the response. I'll apply when the time comes.

36yearoldstudent Baylor does hire ADN's just not in their main stream hospitals in the DFW. A ton of students from our ADN program who just graduated got jobs with Baylor but in the surrounding cities. Apply! :)

Thanks futurenurse1211! That's definitely encouraging news! Do you happen to know which facilities the ADNs were hired into? I'm not from Dallas, but my plan is to move in with my sister and brother-in-law when I graduate, and they live in Little Elm.
