Bassett Medical Center Interview

Hey all, I am a new grad BSN May 2012. Finally have an interview coming up in 2 weeks at Bassett Medical Center in Cooperstown (upstate). I have a friend that works there already and loves it up there. Anybody else been hired there? Ow was the process? And the interview with the nurse managers? Any advice?

Hey Calypso, do u know when payroll kicks in there? I heard for some organizations u have to wait a month. Just want to be prepare in advance. Thanks

At your pre-employment visit they will give you a paper with the pay schedule. It is bi weekly pay, so if you start on the week checks go,out, it could be almost three weeks until your first one.

It definitely is. There are a couple weeks worth of nursing orientation lol.

Do you know if someone failed the phone interview? I just had mine an hour ago and I think I screwed up on some questions. My interview just lasted 10mins ??

This has nothing to do with the interview. Just a question how quality of life is in cooperstown for those that live there already. And how did you find your apartment? I'm looking at the hospital listing and craigslist for rentals and there is like nothing.
