Just thought I'd start a thread for all of us applying! I'm planning on completing my application pretty soon. Taking the CCRN this week, and then I'll be ready to go! How are you all faring?
Also, does anyone know anything about the Tampa campus? I'm going to try and go for that one.
Ok I spoke with (MODERATOR EDIT OF NAME) From anesthesia yesterday she said that admission dept. has a Batch of applications ready for her and that she was gonna go through them this week to start calling people for the June 29th interviews. I guess we should getting some calls sometimes next week.
Did she say that the next round of interviews is for sure on july 29th?
I was really hoping it would be sooner like july 15th-22nd.

I thought they give 2-3 weeks notice before an interview date. If she notifies people on Monday, that is barely shy of a week's notice. I wonder if she meant July, 29th?
I applied to Barry University March, I haven't heared ANYTHING regarding my application for 2017. Do I just assume to have been rejected? Will they send a letter for rejection or just leave us to wonder... will have 2 years ICU experience by start of program, CCRN, 3.6 GPA. Thought I had it going on!! Perhaps applied too late?
I also applied in March, and haven't heard back. Barry likes high GRE scores, My GPA is 3.7, 4 years in CVICU, my gre total was 297 though. I'm a charge nurse, work in a high acuity trauma hospital and am on several hospital wide committees. Goes to show that Barry doesn't look at the whole picture when making a decision. I have interviews at a few others schools but would love to still interview at Barry. I'm still hoping to get a phone call from Barry! Good luck everyone!
I was told by the admissions coordinator that the next round of interviews will be July 22nd or 29th. Someone else said June 29th, but that seems a little close. I'm thinking if we're interviewed, we will be notified a little closer to those dates. I was told I was competitive with last 120 3.4, BSN 3.59, GRE 303 writing 5.0, CCRN, CMC, almost 2 years of very very high acuity mixed ICU along with per diem float ICU at a different hospital, 3 years SDU, and RRT/code/resource nurse/preceptor/committee on my resume. I was told "hopefully" I should hear from them. The webinar stated that they want people who score at least 150 in each GRE section (or 40th percentile). It seems that they accept lower scores for those with higher GPAs, and vice versa.
I'm hoping to hear from them, since tuition is reasonable and I would love to start in January, but I'm going to start applying to other schools since I'm no longer liking my odds of getting in. It seems that the earlier you apply, the better your chances are. It also seems like they only interview those who they like, which I think was implied in the webinar when they stated "They already know what type of student you are during the interview." In the webinar they also stated that the longer you wait to apply, the more competitive it becomes. If I don't get in here or anywhere else I will probably reapply in January.
