Barry CRNA Starting 2017

Published

Just thought I'd start a thread for all of us applying! I'm planning on completing my application pretty soon. Taking the CCRN this week, and then I'll be ready to go! :o How are you all faring?

Also, does anyone know anything about the Tampa campus? I'm going to try and go for that one.

Don't take the GRE unless they tell you to. They can still accept you provisionally and ask for a higher number on the Verbal (150) but I am certain you will be fine. Good luck!

@jbrar111,

gotcha! Thanks again so much, that makes me feel a little better. We really do appreciate all your help for us.

Hi,

I just discovered this post. I applied to Barry at the end of March but have yet to take the GRE. I'm scheduled to take it end of April. I'm wondering if anybody was invited for an interview without the GRE completed? I talked to somebody from admission today and they told me that there will be one more possibly two more interviews scheduled for May. I'm afraid they might not even look an application until the GRE scores are in.

Anytime! I was in your shoes last year.

They will not analyze your application without a GRE score. CCRN and other certifications are not a big deal, but the GRE scores are.

Thank you! I figured they wouldn't. I have the CCRN but the one thing I really needed I don't have yet. LOL

I'm taking it end of April and I'm really nervous about the Analytical writing part. English is not my first language and writing a decent essay in 30 min is hard for me.

How long does it take for them to grant you an interview? I've sent min out end of March and still have no response. It's kinda concerning.

I'm also in your boat. I called yesterday and one of the faculty of admissions told me there will be one more interview date possibly two but they don't have a date set. I should have applied early - lesson to others applying next year. I'm keeping the hope alive and trying not to get discouraged.

Give it at least a month, that's about how long mine was

I am still waiting as well. My file is complete but I am retaking the GRE at the end of the month to bring up my score. Fingers crossed. Good luck to all who are waiting.

A month minimum seems like a pretty standard wait time to hear something. I have a friend who graduated a few years ago. He applied early March, offered interview mid-to-late April, interviewed right after Mother's day, was accepted one week later. These things take some time. Waiting is the hardest part, no doubt. I applied first week of March and if I hear anything, I would expect it to be some time in April. Just got to wait it out.
