Hi everyone! Just wanted to start a thread for those applying to the CRNA program at Barry University starting January 2016! Comments, Questions, Concerns, Advice...

Also, is anyone in Miami interested in starting a GRE study group?

Man that sucks. Did he interview at any other places? His experience and CCRN were great. They were probably looking for a little bit higher of a GRE score to supplement his GPA.

Yes, he interviewed at USF and FGCU. Rejected from both. This is his 3rd year applying and he finally was accepted at FIU. It was just worrisome to me because he has much more experience than me.. takes our level 4 patients.. CRRT, ECMO. Kind of scary that he wasn't accepted lol.

Yes that is quite scary. Maybe he doesn't interview well. He is getting the interviews. It is good that he was accepted into FIU. My goodness. These schools are extremely competitive. Do you know what clinical site he was applying for at Barry? I am in Georgia so we only have one school here.

Yeah Ive heard tampa and Orlando ate the two most competitive. Not sure if that's accurate or not

I will go wherever I am accepted. I didn't realize choosing a particular clinical site would limit our chances of admission.

It doesn't limit your chances. You are accepted and then during your interview you rank the clinical sites you want to be at. Then sometime in December they place you in one. Generally orlando, Tampa, and south Florida have the bigger classes because more people live in these areas. I'm at west palm and so far the clinical sites are great. So I would encourage anyone from out of state to choose either west palm or Hollywood campuses.
