Starting an RN-Bsn-Msn program 10/13. Who has a good site for textbooks? There's a ton out there and I want the best deal ;-)

Textbookrentals.com is like Kayak for textbooks. I have used Chegg often and find their prices are reasonable

I use bigwords.com
They search a TON of different buy/rent sites for you, and tell you which is the cheapest. I have saved so much using them. For this semester, buying used from my school bookstore would have cost me $550, buying used and renting from Amazon would have cost me $325, and using an assortment of sites from Bigwords cost me $136. I rented two texts that I won't want to use again after the semester is over, and bought the others used for very inexpensive prices.

EBAY! This is always the first place to check because you find a lot of students just tryna get rid of their books and their prices are usually reasonable. I have bought several $75-$100 books for $25-$40. Just make sure they are not the international edition! College Book Renter (CBR) was my bestie throughout my first degree and my BSN program. I rented some and initially rented the Fundamentals book and later just paid (less than MSRP) to keep it. They also sell books which is a plus. They were the most inexpensive with the best prices after the use of 5%-15% off coupons (Check on Retail Me Not for the best coupons for almost all the sites). Chegg was my back up in case they had certain books for significantly cheaper prices. Amazon and Barnes & Noble were my go tos for purchasing also.

My only advice is to make sure if you rent a text that you won't need it for another. I know several students who rented a text, needed the book again later in the program, and paid more than if they would have bought it in the first place. There are MANY sites out there now for buying used textbooks. Shoot even the school's bookstore might (but you'll still pay a pretty penny). Good luck!
