Baptist Health Fall 2020 Nurse Residency (South Florida)

Did anyone apply to Baptist Health's Nurse Residency Program?? The application was only open for like a week.. I applied about a week ago as soon as I saw it! I believe they said the start date was September 28th.

I had the med-surge interview Monday and received an offer the same day for Baptist main. It was pretty chill and they only asked three questions: Describe a time that you made someone feel welcomed, describe a time that you were part of a team, what do you think being a research hospital entails, and describe yourself. The pay is $27 for everyone starting, $28 second year, and $30 third year. Med-surge includes specialities like oncology, pulmonary, telemetry. I think you just get the first offer from whoever liked you most during the panel interview. I believe they said they were gonna keep doing panel interviews for med-surge for the next three weeks so don’t lose hope!

Congrats! I haven't received a panel interview yet but I just had my phone interview on Monday. My application now saids its under department review. Do you mind me asking how long it took after your phone interview to receive a call to schedule a panel interview? Do they tell you for what department the panel interview is for and for what hospital?

I have mine tomorrow and I asked what department and basically the different med-surg floors that are hiring will be at the interview. I had put west-kendall as my first choice so I believe that is why they called me for an interview for west kendall.

Oh okay just curious because my first choice was baptist main & second was west kendall but I haven't been contacted yet for a panel interview. So maybe I will be called for my 3rd or 4th option. Since it seems many people have been called already for panel interviews for their first choice. Goodluck on your interview!!

Hi! So I had my phone interview January 6th and got a call to schedule the panel interview on Monday, Feb 1. Almost a month later. I'm thinking you'll get a call sooner though since the hire date is March 15.

I had a phone interview on Monday and got a call Wednesday to schedule a zoom interview for medsurg

Thank you! Wow a month!! Are you one of their students? For some reason in the email I received about the phone interview it saids the start date is March 22nd & the person who interviewed me told me its the 22nd too. Not sure if they have different start dates for different cohorts??

Thank you! I also had my phone interview Monday and I haven't heard back since then ? I hope to hear back from them soon.

I never had a phone interview because I’m an internal transfer. So I just got a call for the panel interview but I don’t think that affected what I got cus I ultimately got a different hospital, which I put Baptist main as my first choice. No they don’t tell you its just a bunch of people and you don’t really know who’s fo what.
