I JUST GOT ACCEPTED TO BAPTIST AND WILL BE STARTING THIS FALL. I AM SO EXCITED. I WAS WANTING TO KNOW IF ANYONE COULD TELL ME WHAT TO EXPECT AT ORIENTATION AND ABOUT THEIR EXPERIENCES AT THE SCHOOL.:confused:

:wink2: Hello 2bmalenurse007. I am not sure how to pm you as I am pretty new to this site. I believe that I am on the same track as you. This fall I am taking Health Assessment, Intro to Nursing, Microbiology, and Speech. However, my health assessment class is on Monday with the lab on Thursday. I was originally due to start my clinicals Summer 09 but they were moved up so I will have to mix my last two pre-reqs in with my clinicals.

Hey Transgender! I hope I get bumped up too! I can actually start Summer 09. I have been told to be patient about starting clinicals, but that is almost impossible. :banghead: I hope they find room for me to start early. Did you take any extra steps to get bumped up?

i, too, hope to be bumped up. but i guess i shouldn't get my hopes up since it sounds like it is next to impossible.

I didn't do anything to get bumped up. There were changes made to the nursing curriculum that bumped everyone up.

But there is another way to get your clinicals moved up. You have to have at least 61 credit hours and a special application you have to submit for consideration to have your clinical moved up.

Hello everyone. Although my clinicals were moved up from Summer 09 to Spring 09, my graduation date did not move up. It remains December 2010. But I was still happy to start clinicals a little sooner. However, the change has forced me to have to mix in my last two pre-reqs with clinicals.
