Banner Nurse Fellows Program

I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?

I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!

I to have an interview next week. I have been reading this blog for the past few weeks and was surprised to read that. I see nothing wrong with giving a heads up. If I was the first to interview I would more than happy to answer and give advice to all of you! We are all in the same boat and need to encourge success for all of us! Good luck to everyone! AAAAGGGGHHH!!!! Super excited just wanted to let you all know they are still doing interviews... I just got the call and have an interview next Friday :o I'm so excited and nervous. I had figured they had placed everyone when I hadn't gotten a call last week but they are still conducting interviews I guess. Good luck to everyone!! Keep me updated if anyone finds out whether they made it into the program.

After basically giving up on any chances of receiving a call, I got "THE CALL" in the morning today for next Thursday. I am thrilled to have another chance. The good thing to the last minute interviews is we get to find out alot sooner then many others in the years past. Best wishes to you all for next week!!

OK. Thanks to everyone for the posts, knowing what is what has helped so much. I no longer feel completly in the dark. I too got that wonderful call:yeah: this morning and can't wait till thrusday for the interview. GOOD LUCK and Best Wishes to everyone. Hope to see all of us :nurse: in the program.

Good luck to everyone having their interviews this week! I had mine last week and it was quick, to the point, and the three ladies were very nice! Like everyone has said in this thread, know Banners Mission Statement, core principles, and be ready to give examples of when youve demonstrated them in times of your life. It wasnt as nerve-wracking as I thought it was going to be..I think Im going to go crazy waiting till next week though!! Good luck to everyone and I hope to see everyone in July :hug:

Just curious to those that have had your interviews..did they mention exact date as to when we would be notified? Also, did they mention if it would be through e-mail or mail?? They didnt mention it to me in my interview so I was just curious. Thanks :)

I completely walked out of there not even asking! I've been wondering the same thing! I was so wrapped up in what was going on I didn't ask. I think someone said something about the 2nd week of June but way of notification I don't know so If anyone happens to know that would be great!

You will know you got in by an email, usually towards the end of the day of the date they told you. At least that's what happened with me.

It truly is a wonderful program.

Remember to try to not complain when you are in the "thick of it"....and try to focus on how privileged you are for even being a Banner Fellow and there were MANY MANY people who would have loved to have your spot.

After my interview I asked them when we would hear something from them. They stated to me sometime around the second week of June and either by phone or email. So fear the postman I guess...lol. Waiting is miserable though...uggh! :D
