Sorry I didn't know about the last meet and greet or I would have made it out there. Saw the stuff about obtaining books and I was told the same thing. Don't forget we all need to obtain Gateway school ID's prior to the 6th.

It is breakfast/lunch restaurant...several throughout valley. So Monday @ 12:30pm (6-14-10) at: FirstWatch 9645 N. Black Canyon Hwy. (I-17 & Dunlap-jst north of) Phoenix, AZ 85021 602-943-3232 Gives Jennaz some extra time and I just realized I have appointment that morning so give me a little buffer too. Hopefully ruco19 can make this time as well.

Okay Three of us for Monday...we need Jennaz and ruco19 to weigh in on this and perhaps we have a day finally...lol. Time and place the same? That okay for you guys? (11am FirstWatch)

Again, unless somethings changed, to my knowlege they are the Carribean Blue uniforms (Landau) with the Maricopa Community College Nursing Logo. Pro Apparel in Tempe is best place to go I have heard. I guess when we get that information packet there will be more specific information (at least I hope so).

Unless I am mistaken the program only covers books and tuition...uniforms are on us.

ruco19...all I can say is that we all should be VERY prepared to give up lots of family time and functions for the next 2 yrs. Because in my opinion that sacrifice is going to be necessary to make it through this program. Even though it's a "part-time" program it will be every bit demanding study time wise as a full time program. Anyone who thinks this is merely just going to school Tue & Thur night and all day Saturday and thats it is fooling themselves for sure (again my opinion). We we all need to be studying either on our own or study groups at least 2-3 additional days besides that. So we should all enjoy our family time and free time and weekends now because I think (or should I say know) that is coming to a rapid end.

Does Saturday afternoon work? I know Jennaz said she had recital in the morning. Anyone have anything else on Saturday in afternoon? Or perhaps we could even meet Saturday night? Just throwing out ideas. Never easy trying to get people together that live in different parts of town and with everones own personal schedules (kids, family time, work schedules, etc etc).

Sorry guys...if we meet on Sunday it will have to be around 11ish...can't be in the afternoon for me. I have a 9yr old son as well. cscanlon...the location I suggested is pretty much central Phoenix, but I'm open to other ideas as well. Not particularly a Starbucks fan myself (and I KNOW I am in the minority in the world on that one...lol). Let me know what you guys think so we can firm up when and where.

Well typically I am "always" home on Sundays...family day don't ya know...lol. But I suppose in light of these special circumstances I can make an acception...lol. Let's wait to hear from matix05 and ruco19 and see what their availability is and if Sunday will work for them. Also, I hope there is just more than us four (4) on this site that are going. So let's see if we get anyone else to respond to this thread as well. But Sunday at same time and location will work for me if everyone else agrees to it.

Unless something has changed, it is Tue and Thur Evenings 5:30 to 9:30 and Sat all day??? I am sooo excited as well :) As far as us meeting gang...I'm game for when ever really for us to all meet for the 1st time and then perhaps we can split up more locally there after. So somewhere in central Phoenix where everyone is about the same distance is cool with me...I don't mind driving to meet all my future RN's Since no one's made suggestion yet as to when and where I'll throw out the first proposal...LOL (come on that's funny!) Where did you have in mind? ruco19 and cscanlon...you are obviously more than welcome to join us if we meet up in the NW valley of course. But wow, quite a hike for you two...you guys are way east valley from Jennaz and I. I am excited to meet all of you and I am really looking forward to getting started. Filling out my forms now and will mail them back today
