I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?
I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!
flutterby... it was in the afternoon ( not sure I should really post the exact time yet), Some of the questions, I was drawing blanks and the answers I gave would not have been my top choice, but if they were looking for raw answers, I sure did not fail them, I wish I could have thought up better answers, but maybe it will alright... I hate hindsight, it makes things so difficult
rickelli... What made you think you did bad during the interview?
From the discussion I had with them I got the impression that they wanted someone that was going to be a team player. We were discussing how you start the cohort with 30 pp and you finish with them through all the all ups and downs of the program. They wanted someone that is willing to work with others while being a compassionate caring nurse. That's what I took from it when I asked them a few ?'s @ the end of the interview. I think if you conveyed that to them you did well!
Well I had my interview today I was totally nervous when I got there but as I waited I relaxed a little more. I think it went ok. I completely forgot to ask when we should expect to hear but if it was meant to be it will be I guess. Good luck to everyone! I wonder if they mean the second week of June next week or the 2nd completely full week of June to notify us, when I spoke to ---- before she told me that we should know by the 2nd week of June but I didn't know if that had changed b/c they are still doing interviews?!?
Hi! I have been reading your guys thread for awhile... and Congrats on all of the interviews and phone calls! I currently work for banner and applied for the porgram but I have not recieved a phone call yet... I have heard that banner employees get an atomatic interview.. I am extremely anxious and worried that maybe they missed my application or something.... any ideas?????

You may want to call them. Did your application meet all the updated requirements?
They changed the GPA requirements as well as the HESI/NET scores.
[so enough of that...
I think that waiting for the email is going to make me crazy. Does anyone drive to Gateway from the west side? I am wondering how long it takes during rush hour because doesn't the pt program start at 5:30?]
I just completed the BNFP at GWCC and I drive from the Surprise area. During rush hour, it would take me anywhere from 45 min to 1 hour and 15 min. I would always leave an hour and a half early.

Thanks for the info! It helps to get an idea of what kind of time frame I'm looking at.:)
