Banner Nurse Fellows Program

I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?

I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!

Yes, Banner told me the same thing, furthermore they informed me that they always have alternates picked out. I still took a chance and sent my app. in the first week of Jan. and it paid off. I got an interview scheduled w/in a few days. Good luck!!

I have a question for those who attended the information session yesterday (i wasn't able to go because my babysitter was sick). Do they have a cohort starting at MCC after March? I am looking at the updated application and it doesn't give a choice for July @ MCC. Also, is it true that if I send in my application now that I can possibly get in for an interview for this upcoming March cohort?! That would be fantastic!

That would be incredible if I got a call for an interview. I took my application down on Monday. I was going to ask you how long until you heard from them, but it was only a couple days? That is awesome. I can only hope for the same. I have not heard anything thus far...

yes they still have openings for this march. cohorts at mcc only start in march. each participating school starts at different cohorts, and mcc only in march (except gateway, which does every cohort). have you attended an info session? you have to go to one before you apply, they take your name and SS# to make sure that have attended one, so they won't accept an application from you unless you have attended.

I sent in in on Mon. Jan. 5th, and got the call that following Fri. So technically it was 4 days. Don't get discouraged, you still have some time to get that call.

Yeah. I went to an info session back in September and I actually submitted my application for the Oct. 17 2008 deadline. They called me in for an interview but i completely bombed it. My mom went to the hospital that week and I was all frazzled because of her situation so I didn't do so well in the interview. I am wanting to email the lady whom I interviewed with to see if I can get a second chance but I don't know if that is a good idea. Thank you for your help with letting me know about MCC not having a July start date. I remember the lady saying in the september info session that the july 2009 cohort would be at MCC and possibly Chandler Gilbert... so I guess that has changed. :-/

Yeah, that would be a bad move; she gets emails from whiny students who are in the program ALL the time, it wouldn't be a good thing to demonstrate right off the bat. Just reapply.

Okay, so I got a call at 4:00 p.m. today asking if I was interested in the March cohort for Banner and if I would be available for an interview next Thursday! So excited. I guess I may see you there...what time is your interview?

Awesome!! I'm scheduled at 1:30. What time is yours? Is it at the 12th. st. and McDowell location?

Mine is 3:30 pm and yes, it is at the corporate office (12th Street and McDowell). What is your preference for location, Mesa or Gateway?
