Banner Nurse Fellows Program

I interviewed for the nurse fellows program through Banner about three weeks ago and still haven't heard anything! I was talking to another girl there for an interview who said that her friend (I know, I know, don't listen to anything like this, but I can't help it!) got a call a week after her interview offering her a slot. Has anyone else interviewed and heard anything?

I don't know why I'm so freaking out about it. I'm already accepted into Mesa to start in January (I deferred) but I WANT TO GET INTO THIS!

I have no clue what that means. I kinda was thinking maybe it means No Later Than. But that makes no sense!!! I looked everywhere to see what it means and I couldn't find a thing.

Yeah it is funny... if you go to the application status page, it tells you that they have no information on what is going on with your BNFP after they have sent it, then the message provides you with an email address. On the other hand, if you go to the Banner website and look up the BNFP program, it tells you to contact the MCCCD office if you have questions regarding the application. That is a little convenient, ya think? Talk about passing the buck. Maybe they should revisit their methods on communicating about the application process. It makes me think that the applications I have sent might have been received late and not even reviewed due to that. Who knows. Since I have moved to AZ, I have not been all that impressed with the overall work ethic of people. I really have a hard time trusting anyone. But, I am going to keep trying. I am the only part of the equation that I have control of changing when it comes to my goals.

I went on the interview last week for the BNFP and they told me they would be mailing out letters for the March 09 cohort on November 14th! I really hope I'm accepted and good luck to you too!! :nuke:

I had my interview the week that applications were due! At my interview they said that they would notify applicants by Thanksgiving. November 14th sounds even better............the wait is killing me! Best of luck to you all. My mom recently graduated from the BNF and she said that she got a big envelope in the mail when she was accepted. A friend of my mother applied as well and was not accepted and recieved a letter sized envelope. Best of luck to you all and pray for that big envelope:clown:

The 14th huh ? Thats this friday, I am so nervous and anxious it has been hard to wait after interviewing, is any one else on here shooting to get in BNFP at Gateway March 2009 ?

I wish everyone luck, watch for those envelopes in the mail, and be sure to post back on any news. My fingers are crossed for everybody. Good Luck.

Ok, so tomorrow is the mail date... Any chance that our nursing placement status page will change from the... Massagetorn you have NOT be placed"... to some good news if we got into Banner? Or will that change once we sign our contracts??? My patience has just about run out, and its killin me!!! :sstrs::bugeyes:

Good question?????????? Hum.... I will be checking the status page in that case. Do you think that we will know by Saturday or Monday? I'm sooooo nervous and it's all I can think about! If I hear anything I will let you all know. Good Luck to everybody.:bowingpurI'm praying at this point, lol!

FWIW, my status on the whiteboard didnt change until a couple weeks after I had returned my promissary note to the banner folks, letting them know I accepted.

I DID IT!!!! I GOT IN!!!!! MARCH 2009 MESA COMMUNITY COLLEGE!!!!!

This dream has been 10 years in the making!! My daughter can stay at her awesome daycare, I can quit my job and focus on school full time, its a short distance from my house, everything fits!!!

GOD IS GOOD!!!!!

Yeah ,after many years working hard and the the terrible wait, I got my letter today...I GOT into The Banner Program at Mesa Community College March 2009.. I have been waiting for this for such a longtime.. I am so happy!!!!! Congrats to all who got good news today..:yeah: :nurse: :D :up: :yeah:.... And my thoughts are with those who didn't..Would love to hear from any one else starting Mesa 2009 cohort...... Best of Luck and Blessings to all.....

Congratulations to everyone who got accepted this time around!! Just so the prospective applicants who didn't get accepted to the Banner Program but were interviewed don't feel like they are the only ones. I was interviewed a couple of weeks ago & I got my rejection notice today.:crying2:

I wanted to ask those of you who have applied more than one. Did you change you application essay questions? For those who have have interviewed & then not been accepted once, was it easier interviewing the second time? What do you feel made the difference in your interviews? I"ll try again for the July Cohort, while I wait for M.C.C. Did any of you take pathophysiology? I think I will take that class while I wait. Where did you take it? M.C.C. doesn't offer it as far as I can tell.

I have been following some of your postings & I am very HAPPy for all of you!!:yeah::yeah:
