Re:Registration I got my admission packet in the mail today. I was unclear if the advisors register us automaticaly or if we make an appointment with them and then they register us. Does anybody know how this works? My student loans are in re-payment this month. I need to get registered asap to show that I am full-time status to avoid paying them. Any info would greatly help :)

for those of you who can make it let's meet up at olive & ivy in old town scottsdale on saturday, january 31, 2009. how does 7:30pm sound? for those of you who can't make it saturday we will plan on meeting february 05 as well. this way everybody will be able to make at least one "meet and greet" . if you can make it tommorow night please email me so we can exchange phone numbers and i will get a directory out to you all. if this location is not convienient for anybody please say so. i dont mind when/where we meet....i'm just trying to get the ball rolling. see you all soon

to my banner fellows gateway march cohort classmates...........i thought it would be fun to all meet up on a friday or saturday nite for happy hour. that way we could all get a chance to mingle a bit. anyway, our social life is pretty much coming to an end for the next 16 months. im up for anything...... i was just throwing that out there to see how you guys felt.

When is good for everybody to meet? Im so excited to start already and meet everybody. Hopefully, now that the last few spots are filled we will get our admission packet here shortly. Hey, has anybody who is starting in March heard anything regarding financial aid disbursement dates? I heard that since we start "late" that we only get three disbursements. I need to know when we will recieve financial aid and if it's true there are only three disbursements. I called Gateway and the girl who answered was of no assistance. Has anybody inquired about this?

Yes, the pay is the same for any new grad regardless of going through the Banner Fellows program and signing a contract. I know this for a fact!

Actually, Banner is pretty competitive vs. other hospitals. I know somebody who just got hired at a Banner facility as a new grad RN and the pay was $27.50. So, yes the pay is the same as a new grad regardless of where you graduated.

Yep, I got the email today and my status changed. Yea!!!!!!!! Does anybody know of any decent public or charter schools (K-8)? I'm moving from Ahwatukee to the Arcadia/Biltmore area so I can be closer to Gateway CC. I checked out a couple of the public schools within a 5 mile radius of Gateway. I refuse to send my kids to the Creighton School District. I want to find a reputable school for my kids first and then choose a place to live. Any suggestions? Im stressed out about this........ Gateway has Lifetime Fitness that's held at YMCA and it's 2 credits. You can take it for a grade or P/F. If you take it for a pass/fail you have to go the minimum that is required. I took it for a grade in the past and it was pretty easy.

Badr, I looked up the class description on Rio's website. You can actually view a mini syllabus for NUR151. I would assume that the course competencies are the same. I live in Ahwatukee and the drive isn't too bad. See ya at orientation

Badr, Im starting at Gateway in March as well. According to the Gateway website NUR151 is from 8-4 on Wed and Thurs starting on 3/23/09. So Im assuming that will be our schedule for block 1. Im not sure when our lab time will be scheduled. I guess we just have to wait for our information packet to arrive. Do you know of anybody else that got accepted for the Gateway cohort starting in March? Im interested to see how many of those students I know from previous classes.
