Get a pkg of emery boards and cut some up w/your bandage scissors.
I have to say that bandage scissors aren't that $$, so if the above tip doesn't do it, get a new pair.
I went and got mine sharpened today. They are all metal and I hate to part with them. cost me 8.00 and I have had them from the beginning of my nursing school days. The person who sharpened them said that he does all kinds of them especially for vets. Thanks for the tip about the kids scissors.
I have had my scissors for 6 years. I bought them at a Rite Aid Pharmacy for $7.00. I feel naked without them in my pocket. I love them:redpinkhe. When my co-workers ask me to borrow them I always give them a long speech about how they are my favorite scissors, I've had them for 6 years, blah, blah, blah. Sometimes I threaten to harm the co-worker if they don't return them to me. . Oh man, if anyone I work with sees this post they will know who I am.
Last year, I purchased 7 pairs of bandage scissors online at http://www.Ebay.com for $12, which was a bargain in my opinion.
I have bought batches of them for work. We need them for the "band ceremony"--my term for the last time you check armband #s w/mom before cutting off the bands and baby lo-jack and d/c'ing them. Those scissors seem to rapidly grow legs. Someday, we're going to open a closet door and be buried under an avalanche of bandage scissors!!

I am getting ready to start a new job with alot of bandage changes. I have a pair of scissors right now, but I swear they are so dull. I have tried to sharpen them, but it doesn't matter. So, my question is do I take my scissors to a professional to sharpen them or get a new pair? Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you.
