Band 7 = Senior Sister/Charge Nurse in the UK, A&E = ER! It's called Accident and Emergency here.

For my Band 7 post I was asked to prepare a presentation on a topic relevant to my area of practice (oncology). For A&E perhaps you could discuss how you might handle a major emergency or event and include a PowePoint or overhead projector presentation?
You could discuss the most common emergencies or maybe go into detail about patients presenting with alcohol or drug related problems and how this impacts upon the department. National statistics are readily available online and you could quote these.
Good luck whatever you choose to do. Hope you get the post.

Hi Lisa, do you have a presentation?
I would advice that you read up on clinical leadership, have a think about how you balance effective care, appropriate admission and reaching the 4 hour target.
Think about money matters, how are you going to ensure high quality care with the current financial constraints (have a think about reducing risks, harm and unintentional outcomes and also ensuring that appropriate effective and clinically safe care is provided)
thank you!!
