Hi everyone!
I will be taking the NET at Baker this spring. Does anyone know if their test includes A & P?
I didn't want to go the LPN route, but even with my 3.9 and decent NET exam they did not accept me. So I was accepted to the LPN one and as soon as I graduate I'm doing the bridge program and will have my RN with in 6 mos. Not to mention while I'm taking my bridge to RN online I will work and make around 28 a hour, not bad in my opinion. To me the LPN didn't seem hard to get into, I took the HESI and got a 86% on that and my GPA is good.
Auburn Hills accepts 30 students a year for the PN program.
Good luck to you :)
I know it has been a while since this post. If you don't mind my asking, what was your NET score. I got mind yesterday and am very worried I won't get in. Like you, I also have a 3.9.

I know you aren't talking to me, but it is more than your 3.9. Take the GPA of the 6 sci classes they are using... and multiply it by 2. Then take the 4 other classes, and the gpa, you get for that, and add it to the GPA of the 6. If you need help, I can help you with that.
You will have a total of 12 possible with that.
I picked up the packet today..
8 and under transfer credits gets you two bonus points.
less than 17 gets you one bonus point
17 and up gets O bonus points.
Then if you repeated no classes you get 3 bonus points.
When I spoke with them in February, they said NO one the last time had all the points.
So get your total from your gpa, mine is 11.14.
Your transfer credit bonus points, I have 2.
Your repeat bonus points, I have 2.
Then your score from the NET, I don't know this yet, but let's pretend I got them all. (HAHAHAHAHAH) that would be 7.
The total points possible would be 24. I would have 22.14/24.
If you reapply this fall, you get another bonus point, but you have to keep the denial letter and submit it in the fall as proof. So I guess that makes the total possible 25, but if someone is reapplying, they didn't have the total amount possible in the first place.
My score still didn't come in the mail today. Hopefully tomorrow.
And in the packet it says they will let us know by August 1st. So kind of them. I guess that gives us almost 2 months to get done what needs to be done, but that is also two months of waiting.

I picked up my packet too. Would you mind helping me figure out my points for GPA? Assuming I get A's this quarter, I will have all A's and one B in Algebra. How many points would that get me? THANKS

OK, the 6 A's will get you 8 points for the sci/hsc classes (well as long as you get them in Pharm and whatever else you are taking)
The other 4, (as long as they are As and not A-'s and the B is a B) is 3.75. So your total points are 11.75 toward the GPA part of the application.
Something interesting I learned. You can only take the NET twice at Baker. But there is nothing stopping you from taking it at say... Wayne State (they let you take it 3 times), and you can use the results at Baker.
I will post tomorrow night... hopefully, my results will be here.

I got an 85. :)
I got an 87 on the NET, but I didn't take it at Baker. Does Baker take NET scores taken at a different school or do you have to take it at Baker? Also, can you tell me what the prereq's are to apply at Baker?
Thanks in Advance and Congratulations on the awesome NET score!

WOW!!!! You should be very proud! I was told that the highest score Baker has ever had is an 86!
My friend just got an 87 on the same test we took, so that can't be right.
Hmmm....unless she upped the score. :)
Thanks! I feel really good about it. I just hope I get in. (Like everyone else.) I am no spring chicken, although, I should get in in the spring with the extra bonus point if I don't make it in this time... ya know??

You can take it at a different school but it has to be the form A or form D (I think D) of the test to use it.
And thanks!
OH prereqs,
A&P 1 & 2.
Holistics
Microbiology
Pharmacology
pathophysiology
Intro Algebra
Comp 1 & 2
Speech
Psych 101
Inf 111 & 121
I think that is everything. :)
You can't retake anything without losing points. And you can only transfer under a certain amount without losing points as well.

I don't think you will have any problem getting in with that score. I, however, am very worried. I will have to keep praying.
Hi,
I just took the Baker NET in the fall, but it was the "HESI". If that is what you are taking, which I assume is the one they have switched over to, it does have some A&P. My BEST suggestion is to study the study guide you can purchase through the bookstore.
Best of luck,:nuke:
Only 2 Weeks left!!
