anyone who completed this table,,pls help me,,thank you

Hi i'm just new here. My aunt gave me the application form for the cno and some of the dox were submitted already. I'm in the philippines right now currently working in a hospital. I just want to ask how does this cno works? I mean I don't have any immigration application yet. Is it possible that I'll be able to go to Canada once I passed the assessment from CNO?!

I would like to ask also if you can help me out because my family's alrdy there but if they will petition me it'll take years before I go to canada is there another way to go there the soonest? =)

Hello

Base on what you said, you already started your credentials to be assess in the CNO, right? (PAID FEES and et....) I advise to continue the assessment and don't withdraw, once you get the eligibility this is not necessarily mean that you can go to Canada. CNO assessment is just for you to know if you can practice your nursing degree in Canada, immigration stuffs are in different matter.

Why to wait later, if you can do it now :)

Goodluck :)

Not really. CNO assessment and immigration matters are two different things as pointed out by the other poster.

Given you continued your application with CNO and eventually granted an eligibility to take the CRNE, you have to ask yourself now how you will be able to go to Canada. What are your chances of getting a TRV or a tourist visa to go to Canada to take the exam (specially you mentioned that your family are there). Do not forget that CRNE, unlike NCLEX, can only be taken in Canada. CNO eligibility is only valid for 5 years, if you go beyond that period and still unable to take the exam, you will be asked to submit again document/s proving your recency of practice and who knows what else they might require from you. What you can do is simultaneously apply for CNO assessment and if you are qualified, apply for immigration under FSW (Federal Skilled Worker) category for nurses. However, the FSW application might not be possible for you to pursue this year as it only has a cap of 500/yr which is filling up quickly to its max up to this date; but still, it is something you can look into in the future... say next year? Good luck!

Is this true? That if you call CNO several times","they will get irritated and put your file at the bottom list"? Sad..:(

Amazing how rumors start

Process can take several months no need to keep ringing them, it isn't going to make it quicker.

Good day! I'm a new applicant and a new in the forum. I've read almost all of the entries in here and I appreciate all of you who took the time to answer queries that have bugged my mind as well. I'm just wondering how some of you got a chance to enter Canada after your applications. God Bless to all of us!

It's okay if it would be like this but CNO is the one that chooses for how long you would do your bridging program for. Two of my friends were asked to do their bridging program for 3 years. They tried to go to different nursing schools that offers bridging program and asked if they could do it for a shorter period of time but all schools they inquired with told them they need to be enrolled for three years as that is the directive of the CNO. What I am trying to say is for an international applicant to choose and decide to do bridging program, it is really a gamble on their part. Doing a BP course for 6months or even up to a year I guess is okay but doing it for 3 years is just not practical specially most of these immigrants have limited funds. My two friends are now appealing the decision and have registered and are currently working as an LPN for the time being.

May I know what year your friends who took the 3 years bridging program graduated here in the Philippines?

2006. We are all second coursers. She applied in 2008 and I in 2009. The only difference is she doesn't have any nursing experience when she applied whereas I already have 1 year in my belt that time from a western country.

Okay. I'm a 2009 graduate... and the only experience I have was a 6 months volunteer stint in a tertiary general hospital here in the Philippines and did some PDN too. I'm also a 2nd courser... Thanks for that info CarribRN!

Hi. I hope someone could help me.. after passing the addtional dox and bet to cno, what's the next step or letter to be received?

May I know what mode of payment you used to pay them? did you fill up the form with the payment details of your credit card? I only have a debit card but it is also VISA... my aunt told me that debit card in Canada is the ATM card... she warned be about identity theft and everything ... which is why I'm having thoughts on what mode of payment I would use... could you suggest the best way?
