I phoned them and asked and they said you do NOT need to list the competencies you are demonstrating after your scenario as they will see which competencies you are demonstrating when they read and assess it

hello everyone! my first message here..;).. am from the Philippines and just landed here in Markham, Ontario last Dec. 28,2010.. started my application for the registration Feb this year. was able to accomplish/submit all the documents requested by CNO. still waiting for the CNO's decision. Just a bit confused with the BET being discussed in this forum. Haven't received one:confused:.. Does the CNO requires every applicant to accomplish the BET? pls help me clear my mind.:idea:

Hello again! hmmnn i don't have master's degree.. i sent an email to CNO, then got a call from them last friday.. a bit confused to what she (CSR) told me tho.. she said CNO is now utilizing a new document..not BET.. how is that? do you have any idea? am so lost! tnx for your time.. :)

Utilizing a new document? what kind of document/s? you should clear this out while talking to her because it was very vague.

I honestly don't have any idea about your assessment, because in my case and my friends case we received the BET after 3 months of initial assessment. My advise is to call the CNO and clarify this things, who knows that they have a new kind of assessment method now.. :)

hello again PiRN! Sorry I confused you with my query. I passed my application to CNO January this year. February I received a letter of confirmation that they received the application form plus fee. Then MArch 14 I received the option form, but BET was not included in the package. :uhoh3: Hmnn... If I may ask, when you received the BET, what did the CNO tell you about the status of your application?

Sent them an email a couple of days ago, still waiting for their response. I guess I have to confirm this concern again to CNO. Thank you PiRN for your time! :)

The best thing to do is to call/email the CNO about it. Together with the option form, what are forms included? Verification of Registration? employment?

After 3months of my initial registration, I received a letter from them saying the status of my application and what are the documents that they had receive in that moment in time. They gave me the option form, indicating that I need to fax/mail it to them before 40days as for them to know if I will give additional information for my application.

CNO assessment in every applicant varies, maybe yours doesn't really include a BET forms or maybe they missed insert it. Clarify this as soon as possible for your own good. :)

Anyways, enclosures: Option form, Registering as a nurse in ontario (Guidelines), Summary of Nursing Employment, B-4 form, B-3 form and Verification of Registration (B1-B2).

Already here in Thornhill, Ontario since December last year.. Thank you much! :nurse:

hello PiRN! called CNO today and they told me that since March this year BET forms were not included nor applicable anymore should they need another supporting/additional documents, well aside from the forms in the package (Option form..etc..)

Hmnn that's what they told me this morning.. I received the letter with the Option form March 14,2011 to be exact. Did some of your friends and you as well receive the BET before March? :uhoh3: I guess I really have to wait and hope for the best. I have another question if I may, is it possible to apply for an assessment as an RN and RPN at the same time? :confused: thank you for your time!:)

there's no BET forms anymore? I received the BET form February this year but I still haven't completed it. so what does this mean for me? Am I still supposed to complete and submit it to them? It is the last requirement until they proceed to my assessment.
