Your best bet maybe to phone up citizenship and immigration canada to clarify what visa you need. I personally am here on a visitor visa to sit the exam because a 1 time thing does not require a study visa but it is best to check with them
thank you so much dear for the information. I might call the CIC that is loacted in the malaysia so because I am currently working here.

hello everyone! my first message here.... am from the Philippines and just landed here in Markham, Ontario last Dec. 28,2010.. started my application for the registration Feb this year. was able to accomplish/submit all the documents requested by CNO. still waiting for the CNO's decision. Just a bit confused with the BET being discussed in this forum. Haven't received one:confused:.. Does the CNO requires every applicant to accomplish the BET? pls help me clear my mind.
Hi e.y.aThe BET covers 7 areas of nursing care.
These are:
1) Physical/Health assessment
2) Health promotion and illness prevention
3) Communication
4) Legal/ethical/social/political
5) Leadership
6) Research
7) Critical inquiry/ problem solving
For each section you are required to give a scenario and rationale for acting how you did.
There is then a section on work experience in addition.
Just make sure that you check the entry to nursing competencies and check your answers shows these competencies, or as many as you can!
Hope that helps
hi FunkyCat. Follow up question please. On my sample BET form, after the Scenario and Rationale part, there is a list of relevant ETP competencies demonstrated in the prior scenario. Is there a need for me to enumerate all RN ETP Competencies as applicable in my essay? (and list as many as I can for that matter?)
Your info regarding this matter will be highly appreciated.
