Hi all!

I'm applying for APU's ELM program for Spring 2017 and I was curious to see who else was applying :) maybe we could chat about the application process!

Thank you so much! my e-mail is [email protected]

Hi All,

Does anyone know of a research and methods course that's offered online?

No professionalgal í ½í¸ If you find one, let me know. I've been looking for one everywhere but it was hard enough to find a traditional course that mentioned ethics specifically haha

Sure thing briforsure! I actually found one school, Florida Tech online, but I don't know much about the school. I am going to give them a call and get more information, such as accreditation and cost. I prefer to take it at a community college to save some money, but I haven't found a community college that offers the course online.

Hello,

I took my (Research and method course) online through Azusa Pacific University College, its part of APU online school.(See Link Below)

What location professionalgal were you accepted to?

Thank you valpal562 I will check it out!

Valpal562 I applied to the IE campus and was accepted for the summer 2017 term. I would like to start sooner if possible so I'm trying to get this research class completed ASAP.

Does anyone know if the MSN portion part of the program are going to be online classes once per week (2 classes per semester) which you work 3 days (full time) as a nurse. Or do we have to find a job in San Diego and attend in class for the MSN portion?

I think that there are online classes that you can take, but I don't think they are all online. I'm pretty sure you still need to attend classes on campus.

@pvirk01

I am not sure if it differs by campus but at San Diego I asked how the MSN works and if we can start classes right away and if we have to work at the same time. She said you are required to work for a full year before you can take the examination after MSN to make you a FNP. She said some people can work part time to complete the schooling because you have to be in the classroom and that none were online as of now. Most students work full-time and take a year and a half to two years to complete the schooling with around two classes per semester. I think you can go as fast as you want but still have to work for a whole year before you finish the 2nd part of the program.

Wow that makes it difficult, so the entire cohort has to find jobs in or near the SD area.
