Average TEAS V Score? Your score?

Nursing Students TEAS

Took the TEAS V. I got a 78.

I thought oh, no. That's awful. I hadn't studied a lick, so it's better than I'd expected...for not knowing what to expect.

When I told the admissions office I got a 78, they're jaws nearly hit the floor. Apparently, the average score at my campus is between 50 and 54.

Have you guys found the same to be true? How'd you do?

I got 93% overall on TEAS and 92%, I ranked in the top 1% nationally in all subjects except English Grammar, I scored in top 6% on that one. I had similar results on HESI. I ordered lowest cost highest rated practice books ,with explanations, on Amazon, and took one practice test in each a few weeks before the tests to familiarize myself with the format and question types. I scored in mid 80s on the practices. If anyone has questions regarding the science or math section I may be able to help.

I need help studying for science the most. It is all over the place within the sections.

When I took the test, I felt like the numbers on the math portion were small, so I was actually guessing on what the numbers were. Anybody else have this issue? When I retake, I'll be asking about it.

I got an 85 and for the California state university's that is a so so score. To be competitive I should have scored higher! :0

I got an 88. I was pretty bummed about that score, since anything below a 90 in any class is unacceptable IMO. But when I told the nursing adviser, his jaw about hit the desk and he made a big deal of it. An 88 put me in the 99th percentile for my region (and 98th nationally, I think), so yeah. I made it past the first round of the application process, so I guess it was good enough!

I had that issue. I stared and stared and stared and compared different numbers to figure out what was what. Got 100% on the math portion. Check out Khan Academy for some very good explanations ?

I got 65 I studied just 4 days. i did low in English section bcz it is my second language my school also need at least proficient which i got. i used ati manual only.

My school doesn't test science so we are not given an overall score. I've been out of school for 3 years so not exactly fresh. I did absolutely no studying whatsoever, got 85.7 reading, 90 math, 90 language. It really is not a difficult exam in any manner.

When you guys say that you got an 80 or 66 etc. Is that 80 out of 150? or is that 80%? I am preparing to take the test, but am discouraged from my practice test results. I took it just to see where I am at and will study and then take a second practice test.

I just took the exam yesterday. I got an overall 75.8%. I know I am above the average for the school I applied to, but they only take 50 out of the 250 applicants. I don't want to be number 51. Should I retake it? Opinions??

There has to be a way of finding out the average of what other applicants have? The program I am applying for only takes 45, and seems like there are going to be hundreds of applicants. I took the TEAS last week and got 87%, and I am completely panicking. I will be retaking it in the Spring.

Why would you retake it with a 87?? People hardly get that score. Good job btw!

I don't know the scores of others applying, I REALLY don't want to miss out on a spot. My worst section was English language, so I'm going to use the next few months to brush up on that.

Most schools want at least an 80%. That score is well above that. What was your English score?
