Austin Community College - ACC - Spring '11 hopefuls

Published

Hi ya'll-

Thought I'd get this started for the rest of us who, sadly, did not make it in for Fall 2010. I'm hoping to re-submit my application for Spring today (or this week). Does anyone know, do we receive the form from the nursing office? Or, is this something we should grab from the website?

My score upon re-applying will be 54.899. Dang, sure am hoping this will be high enough and get me in this round!

How's everyone else holding up? Did everyone complete the pre-req - 1105 already? I have not and won't (due to extenuating circumstances) until early Fall. Will this negatively impact my chances of getting accepted? According to Tammy and the office, no. But, wanting to get everyone's input. Hoping we will hear about acceptance by Sept. Does anyone know this date for sure? The application period closed July 15, don't know why it takes them so long to get this word out.

Anyway- good luck to you. This is my 3rd round of applying :( so I sure am ready to get in and get on with this career change!

Colleen

good luck everyone!!!

Good luck everyone!!!:yeah:

May the force be with you all....but a little bit more for me, please. I really need to start soon or I'm going to go a little (more) crazy. :)

Hey, y'all ... us Level 1s are thinking of you and have our fingers crossed! The waiting is SO worth it once you're in!

*sending good mojo for tomorrow*

Good luck to those of you looking for acceptance letters today!

I never did get a petition with that 49 ranking, so I'm not expecting anything.

Hi, New to this board, has anyone gotten the big email yet, sitting here with my fingers crossed!

I know how badly everybody wants to get in and get started, especially if you had been passed over once before.

Take it from a level 2 student on this. If you don't get in now, don't despair. Reapply and get in for the fall semester. I honestly feel that you are better off starting in fall over spring. I started in spring, and having that summer off really seemed to suck the wind out of all our sails. Level 2 came as a shock.

If you get in, congrats, and hope to see you at the CEC, if not, give it time, you will get there.

Doesn't starting in the spring give some students an opportunity to take a level 2 course over the summer? I thought it was optional to take a mental health course over the summer.

Sure, that option is out there. There were both mental health and med/surg offered last summer.

It makes things a bit easier, as you are only taking one class at a time each semester, but it doesn't move you through the program any faster.

Hey everybody, I just wanted to say hello and let you know that I'm hovering over my email like the rest of y'all. Good luck everyone!!!

Last semester I got my rejection email around 2:46 pm and my friends who were accepted found out a little after 1pm.

Thanks RadiationRN2Be, that's good to know. I wish my obsessive nature would let me look away from my inbox until then, but no. At least I have homework I can be doing in the meantime. I was able to get into 1105, so hopefully that's a good sign. Good luck!
