Austin Community College (ACC) ADN Fall 2021

Hi there! I know it's pretty early but I thought it would be nice to create a thread for all of us who will be applying for the Fall 2021 cohort, keep each other up to date on upcoming deadlines, and this whole process in general.

Hope y'all are keeping safe and staying sane during these wild times.

Is it correct to assume that the sooner we get ranking calculations, the sooner we get acceptance letters? 

I hope so, I know that they get caught up in the rankings for so long but usually shouldn't be too long after to get the letters out. With more people joining this semester we might be waiting longer.

It’s April 1st guys! I can’t believe we’re getting our ranking calculations this month! I’m a first time applicant, so I’m not sure if I will get in this round, but either way, I’m getting excited!

Are they allowing in person clinicals right now or is it still all virtual?

@Purienne I saw ACC nursing students in the lobby of the hospital I work at this morning! So I’m assuming so and I hope so by this fall if not! 

Edit: right as soon as I hit send I rounded the corner on my unit and there’s a whole group of acc students! Ha perfect timing

Awesome. I really hope so. My second time putting in and I'm hoping it's the perfect time to maybe start having a few in person clinicals. Fingers crossed!  

Still gotta wait for those acceptance letters.

For reapplicants, do we have to submit our blue card clearance again? Or if we had already submitted in the first time we applied, are we cleared? I was a little confused over that process and got a second blue card in the mail a little while ago.

Yes, you submit it for every time you put in for the application. They will send you a extra card to submit.

Status update ranking calculation emails not being sent until early May. Luckily that’s not to far away.

I wonder why they extended it. Maybe they are overwhelmed with the number of applicants ?‍♀️. Oh well...hopefully they will send them out the first week of May?.
