Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Hi everyone, so exciting to see everyone waiting anxiously for their acceptance emails! Im starting in Jan. 2015, and I have a question regarding the HESI. Did you guys see questions in A&P regarding muscle insertions and origins? Im preparing for it now so anything will help =)

I took the hesi in April and there were no questions on muscle insertion or origins.

Nope not at all.. i got questioned on endocrine system, heart valves, oxygenated and de oxygenated blood, body systems, afferent/efferent..things like that very broad

Hi everyone I have been reading all nurses for a while now and decided to finally join. I already sent my application for summer and got pre-admission,unfortunately, I had to fly overseas and lost my seat. Due to bad communication I didn't know I could defer my seat for fall so I lost my pre-admission. Anyways now I'm back to "application in review"and I'm waiting anxiously for pre-admission. Hopefully we get in. Good luck to everyone! :up:

I've been stressing out a lot lately; I've never been so uncertain about something. The fact that we will most likely start receiving letters by late next week makes it even worse for me. It simply means that they have far too many applicants, which makes my chances of getting in even slimmer. The only thing that keeps me going is that on the day I turned in my application.. I asked the lady, "Do I stand any chance?" She turned around and said,"I would say your chances are better." Well, I'll hang in there and wait anxiously as the clock is ticking down..

my friend spoke to the lady at North campus yesterday, she said that they haven't had that many applicants for this term because they have people who applied without completing all the prereqs (HCP0001 which gonna end in August) and she said that they're not gonna wait until then to send the letters. So let's hope we gonna find them this coming week. stay confident ok...

You make me feel better.. I was assuming that they have a good number of applicants. I remember students from the May 2014 threads had to wait until April to start receiving letters because they didn't have enough applicants.. Anyway, thanks. Next week should be the week!!!

Hello everyone. Im new on here and like you all Im hoping to get accepted in the August term. I have everything completed but Im taking the hesi on June 21st and then applying immediately. To any of you guys' knowledge is this too late? Or in other words do you think they will fill all the seats by then? Thank you in advance for any replies!

Welcome!! It could probably be too late as they are likely to start sending out letters by mid June. I am assuming those who have already applied should know their fate by Thursday.. Anyway, you can give it a try.
