Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

They also sell the HESI book in the bookstore

Here's a link for a PDF version download of the HESI study guide from another school

Overall the same concepts are reviewed, but you should try to get an updated copy of the book. I recommend to read through the entire book one time. Answer all the questions and focus on practicing what you need to work on. There are also plenty of resources online to help.

Hello

Hope everyone is doing well. How does it feel to almost be done with your first semester? Can you guys tell me about your experience so far? Would love to hear from you guys :)

I gave birth and this is more laborious than that. I was successful in process 1 lab and lecture but unfortunately many students withdrew to start over in January. We started the semester with 125 and now there's 38 in lecture for process 2 and maybe 20 of those made it to clinicals. I didn't make it to clinicals because I failed the math test that is done without a calculator and you can only miss one question to pass. I am getting by in theory though so I will try next semester and by the grace of God make it in and be successful. I love the campus, students and my professors. The program is very intense and you need to give it your all to get a passing grade. It is true A students with great study habits and work ethics become C students on this program. I want to be nurse, this is my passion do I am going to push on and do everything I need to do to make it to graduation.

Wow!! Thanks for replying, are you at Central? You'll do great the next time, you'll know what to expect and adapt need study habits that will be more effective. I wish you the best, don't give up!! :)

Yes I'm at central. You need to make a serious commitment to read, practice and study everyday. It is doable but you have to want it and commit 100% to your studies.

I've read countless forums and watch so many videos, I also bought a few NCLEX books to help while I'm studying.. I'm quitting my job as well so I can be fully committed

Hello Im going to start process 1 on North Campus with Prof Fola Adeagbo. Does anyone from fall 2014 have the reading list for the exams. Im starting Jan 2015. Im assuming it will be the same since the book and edition is the same.

Does anyone know a good website where to practice math for the first math test for GI/GU?

There are a lot of websites mentioned in that thread!

Bye bye Process 2, HELLO GI/GU! #I'M READY! #LOVE NURSING!
