Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Oh my

It's not hard just only 10 questions and can only get one wrong. Little details and one thing can mess up the whole problem ex:if you don't round it right. But it's dealing with meds. so I see why it's so important!

Oh I see.. How many exams do you guys have?

In which class? Each class has a math test when it begins. And if you don't pass you can't continue.

Oh so that's how they do it. But I was asking about the math class

when you begin you take a math course that's about a month and you take a test if you don't pass then you have one more chance. All other classes you take a test the first week and you have another chance if you don't pass. Not too hard. They teach you how to do everything but the anxiety to pass is the worse!

Oh my goodness this is all new to me I'm glad you shared that information so I don't go in completely blind to the procedures

No problem. A lot of it is very basic don't stress out over it. Nothing you have to study for. The math teacher will drill it into your head enough ?

Specializes in Telemetry, IMCU.

Don't tell students to not study for the math tests. We lost a couple people in Ortho still from this "simple" math test. You may not need to sit and cram much info each semester, but you need to review the practice questions each instructor gives you. Their questions mirror it.

Edit***

I'm very aware a lot or people don't pass; Hence my first post stating the class got smaller. Do study for EVERYTHING. If it's too easy you probably didn't study enough. My point was that each math test >>I've had so far

Hello everyone I'm sorry to ask a question, but can anyone tell me a brief summary of the South Campus? I'm a formal MDC student applying Jan 2015 for their Fall Program that starts in August 2015, but I want to also apply at Broward just in case. I've heard do many terrible histories about the South Campus. Thanks

What is the best book that i could use to study for HESI exam?

Elsevier Hesi admission assessment exam guide. You can find it on amazon. The practice questions in there is similar to the actual exam. Good luck.
