Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

Professor "fola" adeagbo olafolaka or something like that lol. for process 1&2

Math- Melanie Gulliver-King

Pharm- Dr. Robert K.

Lab- choose after you meet them in person. the lab you picked plays no part in what hospital or teacher you get.

Thanks a lot I really appreciate it :)

No prob. Any other questions for north just ask away. It's nothing like they say it is in orientation. Very laid back they don't sweat the small stuff as long as you get the main idea and show understanding.

Passed Process 2 Hallelujah! Its been a crazy month and ahalf. Feels like ive been in the program a year already lol. All i can tell you is BRING IT. Dont get in lab and get caught up in everyones drama, dont get distracted by gossip, PRACTICE your skills, read your chapters, study your ass off. Forget your non nursing friends for right now. They wont get it and u dont have the time or energy to explain it. Ask questions. That seems simple, but alot of people fear looking dumb and keep quiet, that wont do you any good. Each Clinical instructor does things a different way from the next. I know, its ridiculous but learn your instructors way of doing something and ingrain it to your memory. Dont ***** and wine in front of too many people. Others will hear you and the instructors will hear about it. You get on someones **** list, and good luck to you, cause youll have it hard come return demo day. Most of all if you dont pass a test, dont freakout, go back and review like crazy to pick up the slack.

Hospital Days: Dont do ANYTHING without your instructor telling you its ok.

Coffee: Dont drink too much before test, heart palpitations wont make anything any better

Most of all, Get into this profession for the right reason otherwise your wasting everyones time and you wont hack it, do your best, form study groups and rock it!!!!!

Process 1 oops my bad. Had process 2 on the brain
