Hi everyone,

I've been a lurker on allnurses for years, and finally am finishing up school to move forward for my Associates at Broward. Unfortunately, they have totally thrown a monkey wrench in the pre-req requirements, and now I'm going to have to wait until Jan 2015 possibly to get into that program!!!!! I have all pre res done except for the new math, CHM and new Micro pre-req. This is devastating. I'm wondering though, is it possible to take the Micro and Lab in the summer and somehow slip in for the August 2014 program, or am i bananas?

I was in summer. ..

m and th class 8-12

first 2 weeks tu -wed lab 7-5

Math i think was thur 1-4 something like that. ..(for 4 weeks)

Plus lab practice hours... mandatory when the lab is open.

Pretty much lived at school. Brought lunch every day since there wasn't much time to leave. After math finished it was easier. .. and once you pass return demo you have more time.

This semester i have m f class 9-12 tue or wed clinicals

plus 32 hours minimum in the lab.

Clinical tues OR wed 630-630

Thurs pharm 5-7

Pharm 5:15-7:15(whole semester thru dec)

Tue or wed clinical 7:30-5ish at school or 6:30-6:30 hospital

Thursday- Math either 8-12 or 1-5 or Friday 1-5

Friday- process 1 lecture 9-12

Hope that helps. You always have something going on but it's not overwhelming as long as you know every day you have to make the most of your time. Either read, study or read lol

We take our process one final on Monday and then next is process 2 on the 21st

So you have either Tuesday or Wednesday off if your only in lab/clinical for one day? I'd love to have one day off to study study!!!

Specializes in Telemetry, IMCU.

Only once you pass the Processes 1 and 2. Those two you'll be in the lab almost every day.

Right now we have 2 days off. I'm not sure how it will be once we go into specialties. You're usually I'm school for more than just the classes you take. You have to complete lab hours before you can do your return demo. We have a return demo for process 2. Everything after that is a mystery lol

Lol. ... in gigu we had 32 hours of lab in addition to class.. no return demo per se... But you have to show all your skills and get them checked of. So i found it to really be just like return demo.
